Seeing some very tiny rock chips along the rocker panels and in front of the rear tires on the 1/4 panels. So picked up some Rock Guards.

https://zl1addons.com/

Got the front and rear. The front install in like 15 minutes. Rears really need the tires off so I will do those later.

There's a great thread on our board about these and the installation. A must read before doing. The install was easy and quick. The lower two pins on each side come up just a bit short on reinstall due to the added bulk. They reinsert and secure the guard, but you can tell it is not that 100% OEM tightness.

Added some more horse power decals. :)

Pulled the under hood padding/insulation out, only lost two plastic clips to the black hole engine bay.

Anchor-Room Pony and Oval decals installed. Hard to see in the picture, but they are black carbon fiber print. Worked directly with Jason as these are not listed on the site. Super easy to install. Love the look.

A Boy and his Shelby!

When I got the Stang I really wanted a Shelby. I thought it was too much car though; HP and cost. Really enjoyed this Mustang GT and adding some cool touches to it making it my own. BUT Shelby never left my mind. Some of the smaller dealers around me are having a hard time moving their 17s. Not many, but a few, and when this one dropped the price to invoice I got my arse over there ASAP.

Shelby!

N3393 arrive in rough shape. It sat in the KC Rail Yard for 3 weeks, a short 200 miles from Granger Ford, with no explanation. Then it was 2 weeks at Granger as we finalized the purchase. Then it was 2.5 days of open Transport from IA to AZ, some 1500 miles.

It arrived Monday at 9pm. Obviously that meant Tuesday was PTO Detailing Day.

1. Rims and tires first with Adams Wheel Cleaner.
2. Applied Adams strip wash via a MTM Foam Canon.
3. Two bucket wash next followed up by a light rinse.
4. Next up was Adams Iron Remover and another two bucket wash.
5. Nano Skin Clay Mitt followed by rinse
6. Polish with Sonax Perfect finish
7. Seal with Adams Graphene Spray Coating
8. Light inside cleaning with Adams Interior Detailer
9. Drive to pick up Take Out after 8 hours or work.

I noticed a few issues or defects with the paint that I will cover in the next post.

Super easy to apply and wipe off. On the lighter color here it was a bit hard to tell when it was ready / cured to wipe off. It will give off a rainbow effect after 2ish minutes. Can’t wait to wash it again to see how well I did! Lol.

Looks fantastic! The Adam’s products are great. My dad and I put the Advanced Graphene Coating on his truck and my mom’s CT4-V and it was super easy to work with. Nice to hear the Graphene Spray is easy to work with as well. Enjoy your ride!

My car sat for 3 weeks in the KC Rail Yard, 2 weeks outside at the dealer, 2.5 days w/ 1500 open transport miles before finally making it to AZ. Needless to say I was worried about its "condition."

It is very hard to properly inspect and note any issues on a car this dirty at 9pm.

Immediately the driver pointed out two areas that had been circled in green marker and noted FD or FI (hard to read). Oddly he had no idea what it was or what it was indicating. A bit concerning for me to just become aware of at delivery. It was so dirty I could not really see any other issues.

I contacted Granger the next day and provided the pics. I was told they marked these areas as a Ford Defect. I will need to have a warranty repair done at my local Ford Dealer. Prior knowledge and explanation would have been nice here.

During the wash process I noted the water beading perfectly on a section of the roof. Clearly some sort of work or paint repair was done here. Even after a full detail including clay bar there are little defects or debris left in this area. Granger indicates they did not repairs to the M1 at all.

I also noted the lower splitter had a small chunk taken out of it. I imagine this was done during transport loading. Could have been from the first failed pickup attempt even. Nothing I can do about it now and it is very minor.
