Some of the biggest rust states don't even treat roads (ie - Florida). It's naturally in the air / water on the road.

IMO - drive it year round, and hit the wash more often in the winter.

I bought my GT last Saturday, had 68 miles on the odometer when i signed, i drove it home, took the wife to dinner and it's been parked since. at this rate it will take forever before i get my 500 pre drag strip miles on it.

......and I still haven't got to drive my Mustang because of salt, ice and cold.
Now, got rain coming in........
Got a new Harley coming this week and no chance of riding it either.

.....woe is me,,,woe is me...............
White people problems...

But I'm right there with you. My '16 GT is up on all four wheel dollies, perfectly clean and waxed under it's cover and shoved 1" away from the wall of the garage so my wife can get her Explorer in the garage as well..., while my Softail Slim and my CBR954RR are both under their covers right behind my GT.

So I can drive a 2001 Oldsmobile Alero (w/150k on the clock) to work and back.... :)

Even with subzero temperatures in MI last week, I still found time to drive the 'stang. We sometimes forget that, before all wheel and front wheel drive, all cars were rear wheel drive. Granted, that was before many of us were alive, but you get the idea. Get a nice set of winter tires (I have Pirelli Sottozero 3's) and take it slow.

What are you allergic to in Pheonix? I thought that's where people went when they had respiratory issues...

Tomorrow is promised to no one. - at the funeral everyone will talk about what a great Mustang he had. I wonder what the family is going to do with it?

Dude its a Mustang. It's a Ford. A little bit of salt isn't gonna kill it or ruin its value. It's not some collectors car or classic Italian. smh

Asheville, NC here. I drove to work during the big snow storm, made it fine but was sketchy still has summer tires on. Switched to DWS06 all seasons and was leaving work when we had the ice more recently and the town was gridlocked but I had no issues other than the long drive.

No rust at all after 2.5 years through every snow.

This said I don’t blame you for keeping it parked :p

I know it was crazy we had 2.5 days of rain! Hasn't happened in so long! While everyone else in other states have floods we have 2.5 days of rain lmao.

Ohhh...and so I thought as well when moving here a short while ago from the Pac North West, apparently Phoenix is now in the top 100 worst for allergens, pollen count, and pollution issues. I have found this the hard way unfortunately.

The Dr. looks at me - and says let me guess - runs down the symptoms and says, yeah - welcome to Az!
