Lethal Performance's 2018 GT goes 9's!!!

We took our 2018 Mustang GT, aka Project Goldmember, out to a track rental (Thanks James & Angela!) at Palm Beach International Raceway to make some test hits with the 3.0L Whipple Supercharger kit.

Previously the car ran a 10.39 @ 136mph with the Whipple configuration and pump gas. We decided to step it up a notch by switching to E85 and a smaller pulley. This change required a set of ID1300 injectors, a JMS pump booster and a custom tune from the best in the biz over at Lund Racing.




This setup is FLYING. Goldmember, aka Jared, earned his 9-second belt and there's still some left in it! Jared was super excited as he had never been 9s before. Actually, before this car Jared hadn't been down the track in well over a decade.

Drag racing a Mustang is like tits on a bore-hog. It's just silly, Mustangs aren't fast cars in a straight line. It's not where their strengths lie at all.

If you want to be fast in a straight line, buy a used Tesla and replace the batteries, then strip it out.
