Lots of folks haven't figured out how to properly tune the trans yet.. The strategy is completely different from the 11-14.
This is the main problem. I know some shops are starting to make progress. Chris @ BBR that does he tuning for the Hellion kits has made major progress over the last week or so. I tried on of his revisions and the shifts are very good and consistent now...

Travis, do you guys have an in-house tuner or do you outsource to Lund?

Im very close to you on my 6lb numbers. I did 533/520. I haven't had it out at the track yet but it feels real strong.
Do you know in what gear the pull was made?
My 4th gear pull shows 0.5 gear ratio.
I just don't see a car this weight trapping 129 mph with 530 HP.

Are you making 11 lbs with the wastegate springs or boost controller ?
I don't think mine works as instructed .
I have the duty cycle up to 60 but have not seen any increase in peak boost.
The funny thing is since the boost controller was installed the cars gauge is now reading boost but saying 10-11 when the controller says 5.

Do yourself a favor and get a Dawes Device manual boost controller. Always consistent and easy to use.

Like you indicated without a decent stall converter and traction those 60' times will suffer, you could be seeing -.35/ -.40 better sixties/E.T.'s.
You have lots of top end power by your trap speed though.
I was cutting 1.60 sixties and 11.70's @ 117mph in my big ass 70' Torino with a 3500 stall, MT slicks made a ton of difference as well.
But yes I know what you mean by driving around with a high stall converter as it can be a pain on the streets.

Was it the G force boost controller that went nuts on you?
I looked at the Daws website but not sure which one.
Can you send me a link to the one to get?
I presume I will have to add a boost gauge .
How much boost are you making now and are you still on the base springs?
Thanks

.... And I just sold the 3b circle D converter that came with the auto swap on my 12 .My 12 has a snake bite TVS and I hated how it drove with the converter.
I don't think it would have worked on a 15 without modification anyway.
I switched to a circle D modified stock converter (500 rpm higher stall) on the 12.
I may try this is if I don't get anywhere with the stock converter.
I have the new 17 inch ET R's on 17 inch race stars and not so skinny front runners I will try next although I was not really spinning the 18's on my heavy AMR wheels.
I also have 17 inch Hoosier slicks but was saving them for my manual car.

If you're increasing the duty cycle and not seeing the boost go up then I'd look over the routing of the wastegate lines.

Hellion recommends two dual port solenoids along with the eboost 2 controller. That's what I have, rock solid boost control. I love it.

yes ,we have checked the lines.
It is supposed to make a clicking noise when you start the engine but can't hear it.
Hmmmm- I wonder if BBR will let me return it and pay the extra for the Eboost controller(was my first choice but BBR recommended the GFB)

My HPP tuned 15 doesn't do this...

Lund won't tune any other twin kit.
That sounds like a pouting child to me. wahh... not my kit, me no tune... sheesh

It's worth a shot. I looked at the gfb controller but could not find anyone that actually went fast using one. Plus it's cheap for a reason.....

Any idea why boost in the gauge mode only started reading after the boost controller was installed ?
It was barely reading 1-2 psi at wastegate spring pressure but now reads 10-11 when the boost controller reads 4-5.

Mine did the same thing. I don't rely on that factory gauge at all. Get a manual gauge and forget about that factory thing that is computer generated...

I can see why someone would think that, but do keep in mind that Ken@Lund / and Lund Racing in general are also "Fluid Turbo Kits"

They are starting to develop their 2015 Kits.

So in all honesty, it is a conflict of interest.

It is similar to someone trying to pay me to fly out and dial in their non-BMR suspension on their vehicle (on a vehicle we specialize in)
