This was more than likely an isolated incident, but my MT-82 is being replaced under warranty with less the 3k miles on the car. Started with fifth popping out randomly, then slowly the synchro's went completely. I was still able to rpm shift without problems, so it was not likely anything more serious. Due to the individual parts not being available yet, my dealer has decided to replace the entire gearbox.

Sucks that I'll have to break In another box, but I'm glad they're taking care of it.

It should, but if it does not... A tremec 6060 or 6070 will find a new home in my car.

Sorry to hear that. I'm sure Ford will get you fixed up but a Tremec Magnum XL does sound nice though.

I had the same thing happen to my 2013 GT. When I first picked it up I noticed it was very difficult to hit 3rd gear anytime I got on it and it would go to 5th (I know how to drive a manual too, haha). Then one night it finally just wouldn't go into 5th at all, dealer took it back replaced the synchro and a couple other parts that got messed up. The transmission was 1000 times better after the repairs, never had a problem again. I'm sure once yours gets replaced you'll be more than happy with it.

Glad to hear the dealer was able to take care of this for you, Drew. If you have any future issues with this or anything else, let me know! I'll see how to best assist on my end.

Let me know how it's going pinero61! I know repairs on your new Pony are frustrating. If you have questions or concerns during the process, I'm here for you.

You notice any tranny noises since you've had the car?

Not until fifth synchro's started to go. It was quite at first, just would pop out of fifth at random. Then, slowly is started to grind until they were gone Completely. I could still rpm shift with no problem though.
