Will the 50th Appearance Package have a rear spoiler? I notice no "spoiler delete" allowed so my guess is it will have one, unless you order PP with it?
That's how I understood it to, but it isn't 100% clear...Ford Marketing doing a horrible job (like most marketing people)....:frusty:

Yes, all GTs will have a standard spoiler (as per the order guide) unless you use the spoiler delete option 13D or have the combination of the GT Premium with Performance Pack and 50th anniversary appearance package.

....or have the PP by itself. It deletes spoiler without having to additionally pick the Spoiler Delete...correct?

That's my understanding...PP deletes spoiler as noted in its details. I just can't figure why the 50th Pkg won't allow a delete.

Yeah makes no sense...it's a no-cost option and less materials/labor to do it. I don't mind the spoiler, but would like to have the choice as I think I'll prefer not to have one...at least the one that is on there is very subtle and small

You can't choose Spoiler Delete if You Choose the Performance Pack or the 50th Anniversary Apearance Package because It Clearly States that Both the Performance Package and Anniversary Package Already Include Spoiler Delete as part of the packages. So for that Reason there is No Spoiler to Delete if You Choose those Packages, which is why You Can't Choose the Stand Alone Spoiler Delete Option.

See that's what I am hoping, but you are only wrong about one thing...nowhere under 50th anniversary package does it say it INCLUDES Spoiler Delete. It only says this on the Perf Packages.

If you look at the Canadian Order Guide, under the 50th Package it states:

"When ordered with GT Performance Package (67G), 50 Years wheels are replaced by Performance Pkg. wheels and Spoiler Delete (13D) is included."

Also, it states under Spoiler Delete option:

"Note: Included with GT Performance Package (67G). Not Available with 50 Years App. Pkg. (975)"

Why would they specify Spoiler Delete is included if the 50 years package already has it? That would be redundant...I think what they really intended to say is you cannot order Spoiler Delete with the 50th package, and that for some reason, they want you to keep the spoiler with the 50th package by itself (weird, but that's how I and others have read it). Granted the quotes I posted are from the Canadian guide, but I think whoever put that together did a better job than the US one, at least on clarifying those options.

This is not correct. No where in the order guide does it say the 50th anniversary appearance package (an option for the EcoBoot Premium and GT Premium models) deletes the spoiler.

The 50th anniversary limited edition (totally different body code than the GT Premium) has the spoiler deleted because it is based on a GT with the performance pack. That is what deletes the spoiler. Two separate salespeople confirmed this to me, otherwise I would have ordered my GT Premium with the 50th anniversary appearance package.

I suspect is it is because the 50th anniversary edition (body code P8R) has no spoiler, and permitting that on a GT Premium without performance pack would make these 2 version look too similar.

If one gets the GT Premium (body code P8C) with performance pack and the 50th anniversary appearance option, the similar (but not the same) anniversary edition wheels get replaced with GT performance pack wheels, which keeps the appearance item combination not the same as the 50th anniversary edition.

To the onlooker, you won't notice much difference...it's all about the pride of ownership.
Having seen a regular GT and the Anniversary side by side, it is easy to tell the difference by the triple pane quarter windows. Look at the pictures, from the side, also when you look in at the seats, the ebony and cashmere stand out. Kona Blue also pops out from the other blue. When you see a herd, the mustang faithful will know, just like I'd guess 10% of the folks on here no how to spot the difference in a true 64 1/2 from a 65 built in 64.

What about this Guard car from the spy shots? It has a faux gas cap but no "50 Years" and no corraled grille. Is this a prototype issue or are these being offered as individual options by any chance?
The Guard car is a Euro-spec machine, all of which will get the round badge. The main tip-off to the Euro cars is the larger mirrors

EXCEPT... we're not getting Guard in Europe :D haha... well, so far we're only getting Race Red and Metallic :p

Does the 50th appearance package add chrome trim to the rear lights? *sigh* there's so much information missing... you folks who've already ordered are brave people :D
