Not even, solid tune on a Bullitt with headers, exhaust and tune are just shy of 500wheel
That’s what I was hoping to make, but it didn’t happen for me. I did Dyno with the hood down on my car. I’m sure I would have picked up a little more power, had the hood been up.

@bluebeastsrt , how much horsepower were you making to run that 10.3 @ 135? I’m trying to get a feel for how much power it’s going to take me to run mid 10’s in the 1/4?
I think you'll get there on that 150 shot.

It's also likely a less forgiving dyno. Numbers really don't mean everything, they are just for trying to make Apple to Apple comparison.

Whay kind of dyno? Tuning by James has a Bullitt doing 495whp with just e85, and Evolution has a 2018+ doing 500wheel with e85 headers and intake. American Muscle has a 2018 also doing 500wheel with the same mods as Evo.
Dyno Jet Dyno.

659whp on 93. Race weight 4100 pounds. A GT500 probably makes the same mid 600s and run mid to high 10s on street tires trapping 133.

Exactly! Numbers are nice, but I’m more concerned with having a good safe tune over numbers. Besides, what I lack in the NA tune, I make up with nitrous, so I’m very pleased with the car as it sits now.

Looked through a few of the dyno charts and it looks like it's a stretch. Does anyone have a formula for Gen 3 Coyote to make 500 WHP on 93 octane (no E85) without boost and have it still completely streetable?
Having owned a '19 Bullitt which is basically the same power as the M 1, I became so frustrated with the gearing I put a blower on it. Whipple. But, I really think the solution to enjoying the car and even doing decent 1/4 mile time lies in the axle ratio. Any other mod doesn't fix the gearing problem and even though the M 1 has a better transmission, 1st gear will be the culprit.

Instead of doing the tune, headers, etc, just change the axle ratio. That is my intention for the M 1. I kinda proved this in the '16 M6 I recently owned. Changed the axle ratio from 331 to 355. Rest stock. the improvement was noticeable. The '16 331 in first is almost exactly the same overall gearing the M 1 will be in 1st with the 373. You will be shifting at 50+ at redline in the M 1.

One of the reasons the 10R80 is so fast is because 1st gear is 4.70:1 with a torque converter vs 3.25:1 in the M 1. And, the 10R80 has seven gears to get it to 1:1 wheras the M 1 has 5 (though better than the 4 in my old BUllittt).

There are guys that did gears on the Bullitt and they love it.

I sure hope so. I think it’s pretty impressive that a GT500 can run in the 10’s on factory radial tires. I don’t know if any manual trans S550’s doing that. Those autos are able to hook and book!

So based on the replies I take it, 500 WHP on 93 octane with no boost, street motor (race motor sure, no biggie), has not been done. If it has please list the parts and/or builder.

It would also be nice to know whether the hood was up or down on the cars when Dyno’d.

I just don't think 93 is going to allow you to consistently and safely make 500whp. Sure, you can cram timing in it and turn off the knock reduction for a glory pull but for a street car that needs to be somewhat safe you really need E85 to pull it off consistently and safely.

Interesting reading. What kind of WHP has been obtained with an E85 tune only?

AmericanMuscle has this video showing them getting 475 rwhp with only bolt-ons and a remote tune on 93.

Edit; I know it’s not 500… but it’s still dang impressive for how little modification it is!

So, what are the ingredients? Stock the Coyote is making about 95 HP/L in Bullet or Mach 1 form, to get 500 RWP will probably take about 115HP/L ( 575 HP at the crank). It's the old saying, HP cost $$, how fast do you want to go? I'm coming from a much more expensive platform where headers run $4-5K, cams $3-4K and a stock rebuild is $20K. Not looking to dump a ton of money, but if it's possible but not ridiculous then game on.
What the hell LTH are costing you $5K l?!
