I will look into clutch as well! I guess...
I'll 2th the clutch. I had 3th gear lockout occasionally above 7k on the stock clutch. Switched to a lpx-hd and I can bang 8k shifts all day with no lock out now. Sorry about all the th's.... I couldn't help myself!

I can never get my car to go into 3th...... Come to think of it 1rd, 2st, 4rd don't work either, forget about 5st and 6st :cwl:

Kidding aside, I've only had lockout once or twice, and rarely shift hard or fast above 7K so few roads to do so, so I can't be of any help.

I find the stock shifter with the Steeda poly mount and bracket with BG fluid has negated my need to do anything more. If I tracked the car, I would likely upgrade the clutch and shifter but driven as designed (Grand Tourer) it is spot on for this aging gentleman.

That's solid advice.

Do you have a source for the braided line? I will likely be flushing my clutch and brake fluid this summer (3 years) and figure while I was at it......

I dont and won't track my car, but any improvement is welcome.

I'll upgrade the clutch when it needs a new one, but given my history, will likely never need to for wear, only if it brakes.

McLeod and Steeda offer stainless braided lines that are plug and play. I’ve had both and they’re of equal quality.

Im looking for a solution to void the 3th gear lockouts on high rpm. What are you guys would suggest? What modifications or upgrades should go with? I have 2 option but om not sure wich is better...
One of them Steeda MT-82 Tri-ex race short shifter the other would be Barton Hybrid 3 shifter flatstick. Heres is the links too

Man this is still a problem?? Wow. I was dealing with this with my 2011 GT back in the day. I tried just about all the things like fluid swap with higher temp clutch fluid, the trans brace, MGW, clutch spring and so on. Nothing ever worked. I ended up walking away from that car into a vette at the time. What a pain in the ass.

For what its worth: the only thing i have changed on 21 manual is the shifter knob. Got the hurst 2 1/4" ball. Havent missed a 2-3 shift since installing it. Used to happen all the time with factory knob. Its been on since christmas with several track runs
