30k miles, doing opg, replace oil pan gasket?

I'm into an opg replacement, it's a 2019, so pan is dropped. The car has 30k miles so should I replace the oil pan gasket? I know people with much lower mileage are reusing the factory gasket, but with mine having higher miles, I'm unsure if it's best to replace it.

Doing a Whipple stage 2, so will likely have many questions as it progresses.

If you’re already in tear down phase, if it were me, definitley without a doubt new oil pan gasket, instead of reusing original…. I’m looking at it from the perspective of, why have to worry about the original leaking later if you’re already in the position that a new one could be installed.

Thank you for the reply. I ordered one before starting the teardown, but was sent the wrong one, and I'm anxious to get it put back together, but I'll go with your advice. Best to wait a couple days for the correct one to arrive than have to potentially tear it down again.

When you say wrong one, where you sent an oil pan gasket for an earlier Coyote?

Also are you going with the Ford replacement or another aftermarket brand? I’ve always used the Ford or Felpro when it comes to any gaskets.

They sent one for an earlier Coyote with the removable windage tray. I'm going with Ford replacement. I was hoping that a local parts store might have a Felpro in stock, but when I look up the Felpro for a 2019, it looks like the same gasket used on pre-2018 Coyotes.

I also ordered a new front crank seal, but where the stock one (gk2q-6700-aa) is flat on top, the one they sent (XW4Z-6700-B) has a lip on top, so I'm not sure if I should try and track down one with the stock part number, or if having that lip is ok.

Honestly, if I was dropping the pan and opening up the front cover for the OPGs, I would be doing the entire GT500 setup (pan, pickup tube, pump and gears). It's not very expensive, you're already doing all the labor associated with it and it's a much beefier setup both in terms of the pan and the pump/gears itself plus 2 more quarts.

Maybe I am old school, but I never ever reuse gaskets unless I have absolutely no choice (like an emergency repair).
