I recently got 20” wheels with 285/35/20 +35 and 305/35/20 +50 was wondering what’s the lowest I can go with springs.

I am about to order tires & was wondering the same. Planning on getting the Steeda progressive springs which are a 1.25/1.0 drop. I dont know if it will rub & thinking of getting the 20s with a 30 profile instead of a 35.

You're in for a much rougher ride going that route, if you care about that kind of thing.

From 30s to 35 makes a big difference cushion wise due to smaller tire? Or due to the drop?

30 to 35 a little softer ride, but the 35s are much taller than stock size or 30s in a 305. Lowered suspension is a little firmer.

Both. Less sidewall on the 30 series you're going to feel more of the road, and a side effect of the lowering spring is a little rougher ride. Put the two together and you'll definitely feel it.

It's not all bad though. It'll handle better due to the lower center of gravity and stiffer springs. Just know going into it "ride quality" is going to take a hit.

I was just trying to avoid rubbing or scraping. The wheels are 20×10 +40 (w 5mm spacer) & 20×11 +50 & was told to go with 275/35 & 305/35. Would rather have 285/35 up front but idk if it fits properly.

Steeda progressives are a great choice & fit many set-ups like mentioned above.

Let me know if I can help assist - please email me at tim @ steeda.com
