3 Sisters 2016

There was already discussion and a trip planned to the hill country this year, but it was decided that it was too big a trip for one day. It was talked that it would need to be a multi day trip. A friend has told me that the three sisters is an awesome drive/ ride and that I need to do it. Would really like to do it as a group. I work weekends so I would have to take off work unless it was a weekday trip. Looking for input or interest in a group trip and what would be a good time of year to plan the trip. What are your thoughts? Have seen how hard it is to get a group together, so maybe if we started early a nice trip could be planned.

I would be game and willing to use a vacation day or two to go. And as long as it takes us to plan anything I think this is a good time to start it. :cheers:

I'm definitely interested.... weekdays or weekend, sooner or later, 3 participants or 13...no matter. Since I'm retired, a couple of weekdays is easiest and probably less traffic.

I'm in as long as weather conditions are right. If we're looking at next year, we should plan for the latter half of March or maybe April. I prefer a weekend trip, but I can take some time off during the week as well.

I would be in. However, if it is before January I would only be able to do a weekend trip. If it is after, I can schedule some leave.

Your friend is correct. Most awesome canyon roads. In fact once you get south of Glen Rose you can take awesome two lanes roads the whole way down. I would recommend Kerrville as a base camp. This trip is good alone or with a group.
