For you guys who have the 3.73 gears in the manual, would you keep it or switch out to 3.55 or 3.31 if given the option to do it all over?

I currently have 3.31 and I cant decide if its worth going to 3.73. My plan is to stay NA

I'm also interested. Tried to change my order but the factory already started the build. Not sure the labor would be worth switching them

I ordered the 3.73 gears from Ford Racing and they are sitting in a box in the garage ready to be installed lol. But I'm contemplating on sending them back

How much would it cost to have ten installed? Also how hard is it to recalibrate the speedometer?

I would say it depends how aggressive you like to drive and if you won't mind shifting a lot.

I love my car with it but never experienced anything else as this is my first Mustang.

With the blower now I'd rather have 3.55 than 3.73's but whatever. Who needs 1st and 2nd gear.

I was quoted 500 by one shop and 600 by another

The difference in tire size makes the standard GT with 3.55's very simiilar to the GTPP with 3.73's.

If you plan on staying NA then the switch to 3.73's is a game changer, it changes the car drastically. You get so much more pull in every gear and it helps to enjoy the car more. There is more shifting, and first gear is practically useless but outside of the first gear being a waste of time it is so much better IMO the rest of the time. A buddy of mine has a '13 S197 tuned with intake and exhaust running 3.31's and my car stock is much better. It's sort of a granny smith apple to braeburn apples comparison but it's almost the same drivetrain, and the closest one I've got.

Other than 1st gear or lack of, I love my 3.73...I'm curious to see what the 3.31 or 3.55 feel like though

Had the following
3.73 in the 95 Cobra was perfect
3.55 in my 04 GT was alright definately more steetable than the previous car
4.10 in my 97 Cobra was great for romping but freeway and mileage not so much.
3.73 in the current stang, to me is perfect but this has more HP/TQ and an extra gear compared to my previous ones.

I drove the 3.31 didn't like it, i would have went 3.73 if i didn't opt for the PP
