Has anyone tried this? I hate to give 2M more publicity, but I really don't want to take my headers that don't clearance back off. I was thinking this might be an easier method. Thoughts?

Your post caught my eye. I don't really have anything to contribute in the way of help for you other than if you want to try a similar solution possibly find a well regarded welder/fabricator and see if they can make that part. Most professional welders don't "bugger weld" anything. Most I know are, justifiably, quite proud of their work.
Which brings me to why I'm replying. I went to that link and read their FAQ section. All I can really say is it would be an icy day in hell before I'd spend a penny with those self absorbed, arrogant ass hats. Seriously, they make it abundantly clear that you, the customer, mean less than shit to them.
OP, I hope you are able to work something out without having to deal with them ever again.
Good luck.

Thanks for the reply, I am just going to either pull the header out and dent it or buy stainless power headers and throw these in the trash. It's been like 2 years riding with this junk. Didn't know at the time, was new at the time. Never buy 2m for sure. I wont buy this steering shaft either. Thanks!

I was not aware of the possibility of false knock with centrifugal blowers. Thanks for sharing that. Will note that down in my pros/cons list. Is there a power adder that is more prone to knock that others that you know of?
Apparently resonance can travel through the mounting bracket attached to the engine and cause it. I only know this because lund thought that might be what was causing my false knock and then they remembered I'm running turbos. I still have false knock if I'm not running my KS tune but mine wasn't 1°. My false knock would max the sensors sometimes. I probably wouldn't have worried about it if it was only 1°. Long story short, any power adders could cause false knock issues.

I’m removing the 2M LTHs from my car. I like the headers….theyre well made and the materials are top notch. Although I read the rather biblically regarded (by 2M) FAQs prior to purchase, I didn’t hold it against them.

When the headers went in, the issues were rather minuscule compared to what others experienced with various brands and mine cleared the steering shaft by a large margin. However, the location of the O2 bungs for the upstream sensors is further back than other brands and they’re welded in on the horizontal centerline.

For a 10R80 car, this presents an issue with the shift linkage, so I mounted the sensors at 90 degrees, which presented tuning/fueling issues. I removed the adapters and mounted the sensors in the flow of the exhaust gases and issues went away, but I couldn’t drive the car that way.

Then, the true testament came when I reached out to 2M via email with, “Feedback,” in the subject line. I presented, in detail, the problem, they responded, stating, “Please send us photos because thousands of other customers with 10sp autos have had no issues.”

Within six minutes, I sent two photos, one with the car in park, the other with it in gear showing the contact the linkage makes with the sensor. The next day, I receive a response stating, “We’ve never seen that before with any customer, but that’s an easy fix with a 45 or 90 degree adapter.” I informed them that doing so would not work and it’s been crickets ever since.

Again, I like the headers and I chose to not pass judgement after reading the FAQs, and even after I provided feedback, not asking for anything, I’m not angry about the incredibly low opinion they have of their customer base. They missed an opportunity, and by the sounds of it, lots of opportunities, to do the right thing. I ordered Kook’s and will move on with a smile. But, I did email them after seeing this thread and provided the link, so anyone with “feedback” should post their experiences here.
