IDK what is up with Ford Performance lately but Tom and Eric keep leaving me waiting forever just like Leavey.
Similar experience today with Tom. I gave up after 10-15 minutes and closed it. Immediately got on again with Eric who came on fairly quickly. Said they were down several guys today.
Jeremy remains the champ...

I’ve been emailing them for updates. The chat doesn’t work for me. I guess coz I’m outside the US. Eric has been the person I get responses from. Pretty quickly too actually. (For email)

Ok well that makes sense. Yesterday I kept getting Tom and leaving

It was just funny that they would say "How can I help?" and I tell them about tracking my order and immediately get "I'll be with you soon. I'll be with you soon." repeatedly.

I’m sure 90% of their days these days are helping track customer car orders (and some are probably not pleasant customers to deal with I’m sure). I talked to Anthony quite a bit during my build process and he was always fantastic.

The dealer blames Ford, Ford blames part shortage and tells me to get in touch with my dealer.
After 6 months of continuous ping-pong-playing, I finally got tired of it.

I haven't figured out why my dealer doesn't just place a new order as the old one seems dead-end.
Today I got an email from the Ford sales director Belgium. He asked for my phone number and eventually he'll get in touch with me tomorrow.

I hope that the guy in his position has the ability to get a car produced in less than 1 month.

Almost a month since my car was “produced” (according to FP. MY tracker still says in production) and yet nobody can tell me where it is and what the hold up is. Ford Performance keeps insisting it’s “built” and that there are no delays for my vehicle & no parts being waited on. ETA was already pushed back once. Seriously starting to think it was stolen at this point but not sure how to even confirm that. I can’t believe there isn’t a single person anywhere that I can get in touch with to find out wtf is going on. This is the first and absolutely the last time I will ever order a car, especially through Ford.

I had a very honest chat with my dealer today. He said the delay is likely due to a parts shortage. So a bunch of cars get put aside waiting for specific parts. Its very common with other vehicles and is likely the issue. May not be relevant to your situation but I really enjoyed the chat I had with him. He was very open and honest

It definitely is parts related. We know how bad the tracker is and the factory just simply isnt marking the cars as on hold. Remember there's 56,000 vehicles waiting for parts. I feel for KCC because we both had black accent package which I was pretty sure was the thing holding up my car. If the car really was built, it would be marked built. Produced just means it made it all the way through assembly.

It’s hard to tell exactly what’s going on. The dealers only know what Ford is telling them, everything else is just a guess. I do have a buddy that has an F-150 that has been produced for going on 7 weeks now, however, he has been notified by Ford of a parts related delay that is causing it not to be Built Ready for Shipping. So it’s anyone’s best guess but based on that I would assume Ford would notify folks of a parts hold (but we all know what happens when you assume). Good luck to you all still waiting, hopefully you get some clarification (and your cars!) soon.

This has been what is pissing me off the most lately… when I’ve been digging into the F-150/Bronco/Maverick etc forums, all of those guys have been provided way better information every step of the way. Is it perfect? No. But they’ve been told exact part shortages, exact chip shortages, why their trucks are just stuck as “produced” and not “built” etc.

So that means Ford *CAN* do better with the Mustangs. Yet for some reason our experience is 10x shittier and completely and totally in the dark compared to their truck models. And that doesn’t just apply to us buyers, the dealers are getting zero information on our cars as well.

Having said that I’m going to hypothesize that this is a Flat Rock problem - either plant leadership, plant technology limitations, SOMETHING is lacking there compared to other Ford plants.

Ford's IT is clearly not their strong-suit. I was curious and refreshed my build status webpage. Mine now has a hollow circle in the 'In Prouction' bubble. Nothing in 'as-built' modules just yet.

Aren't the Bronco and Maverick built in "new" plants and staffed by not-Michigan people?

Ford has been treating the mustang like its not a 50k vehicle. The Bronco, Mach E, Lightning are their new babies. The trucks probably make them more money, so the mustang gets the backburner even though its still a very expensive vehicle.

Mine is stuck in some sort of purgatory. Was supposed to blend yesterday. It has been showing body shop status for Ford Performance since last Friday. Annoying….

Mine wasn’t marked as produced until 3 days after the blend date, and wasn’t built until 2 weeks after that. I would be shocked if you had heard anything else already as no one makes it through that quickly, certainly not in “purgatory” status as some people who have been waiting a month or more since produced.
