What triggers me is that out of 29K suggestions they had to choose a misspelt one. As if they were trying to make this Mustang appealing to illiterate hillbillies who can't speak or write proper English to save their lives.
Come on, Ford! Is this what you think of us?

they were never going to use any name that has the word black in it. the company I work for has forced everyone to quit using the term 'blacklist/whitelist' because it is racially charged language. Ford is woke so using the word black as part of a descriptor is strictly verboten.

To be fair they chose the internet to choose the name. " We turned to a place known for good ideas and opinions (the Internet) " this sounds sarcastic lmao.
Surprised it didn't end up Stangy McStangface.

Nite Pony, LOL. Lame.

Stangy McStangface if you're lucky, image the play on words had people started with the fact that it is the black accent package.

Ford is well known for recycling names like Ranger, Crown Victoria, etc. There's even some lame-ass revival of the Splash that isn't monochromatic or stepside. Don't want to be the one to own it but I'd love to see a Nite Pony in black with the teal to fuchsia stripe down the beltline.

I dunno about the rest of you, but there is zero chance I’d buy a car called a ”nite pony”.

A grown man with a nite pony sounds like a story that ends in jail under protective custody. That name is wrong on many levels.
Sorry Ford , I know I am being harsh , but it’s just my humble opinion.

How the F@#k do you call a muscle car a ”nite pony” and think anyone would want to be associated to that name ?

True, this is an American forum, so I should use the American variant. :like:
I usually do that (e.g. spell "tires" instead of "tyres", or use "hood" instead of "bonnet"), but sometimes I forget. :)
