So your saying the chicks dig it? Bonus.I didn't make that up, my wife remembers those days and she said that's what they used to call it back in 67. It was a color that a lot of women chose.

Yea, I mean it is what it is. Someone at Ford specifically picked housewife blue as the "iconic" 67 color to commemorate and celebrate the 500 Hertitage. I don't have a problem with that.So your saying the chicks dig it? Bonus.
He was working his ass off in both cars. Driving the cars to their limit I would say.have you seen this? not bad for a mustang...
For me it’s the idea of owning a factory Heritage car. My first car was a 4 banger LX notch back. I’ve always loved mustangs and always wanted to own one that was somewhat unique. Obliviously owing a ‘67 GT500 would be cool, but that’s not going to happen besides the fact modern cars are so much more capable if speed is your thing. My next mustang will be a late 60’s GT of some sort. Maybe one that will need some work but I turn my own wrenches so that’s not an issue. Make it a GT500 tribute car??? Maybe have the grandsons help and they get it one day.Yea, I mean it is what it is. When I was approached about buying one of these, I showed the color to my wife and she came right back and said "you want a car with housewife blue"? I then decided against the proposition. When it was all explained to me, and the fact my current car is 100% identical, I figured what is the point? I am not buying these cars on the grounds of speculation.
So, anywho, there you go.
I get it. And in your situation, it makes sense. You picked one up for a true MSRP deal. Nobody took advantage of the special paint and the name. And besides, you bought it for the right reason. Very few can replicate your story. You are buying the car to enjoy and by using it as it was designed, you will help to contribute and to celebrate the heritage of the GT500.He was working his ass off in both cars. So yes, it’s only paint and stripes, but it’s not alot of extra cash for that.
I plan on driving it to work more days than not. 80 round trip. I don’t wrap my cars so I know it’s going to get some road scars. Meh. It is what it is. Mine not going in the garage or a trailer.
She will be driven and tracked.
Just remember to fill up every 2-3 days.He was working his ass off in both cars. Driving the cars to their limit I would say.

That is no joke!Just remember to fill up every 2-3 days.![]()
The joke is 2-3 days. I’m guessing ever other day if I’m lucky. Trying to go more than 160 miles is trying your luck! My 2020 never got 200 miles to a tank. Never. 11 mpg x 16 is only 176 miles!!! 11 mpg was with me trying to stay off the skinny pedal. Let me stress trying is a very loose term. LolJust remember to fill up every 2-3 days.![]()
Not many of those around any more, glad you got one, Rick. I got lucky as well but feel for those who have lost that benefit.I worked for them long enough to get a pension.
Lol can’t be trying very hard then! I’m averaging 17.8-18 mpg. I don’t drive like grandma but my daily commute doesn’t exactly have any areas for me to stretch her legs. The joke is 2-3 days. I also average 18 mpg the last 4kish miles. 75% highway driving, do a pull or two a drive.Lol can’t be trying very hard then! I’m averaging 17.8-18 mpg. I don’t drive like grandma but my daily commute doesn’t exactly have any areas for me to stretch her legs.
I have no clue how y’all are getting those mpg’s. When I would baby it on the highway, the real time dash lier mpg indicator would sometimes touch 17 but as soon as I stopped going down the overpass, back to 13 or less.I also average 18 mpg the last 4kish miles. 75% highway driving, do a pull or two a drive.
