Grabber Blue was fun for sure. I would say I'm going more low key with FJG, but the spoiler and graphics all throw that out the window.

I've decided to pull the trigger on a grabber yellow Mach 1. I stopped by the stealership dealership by me in OKC to look at a FJG car- it's cool, but man...the other day I was trying to find my wife's white Outback in a sea of monochromatic colors at Target and....I just don't want that. I hope the yellow doesn't kill resale, but I think worrying about resale is a pretty crappy reason to pick colors when I'm gonna have the car at least 4-5 years. I wish I could have seen the color in person before I ordered but there are none in like a 100 mile radius.

Also while I was at the local dealership I asked (mostly out of curiosity) if they would match Granger's pricing and they just laughed at me (they are currently charging a ~$8k ADM on M1's in stock). Go Zach.

Really, REALLY hoping they bring back Grabber Blue for '22 (yes, it rhymes......and it'll be poetic if it happens!)

Still love this old rendering :)

My biggest fear is grabber blue for ‘22. Some tough decisions will have to be made at home. I’m not getting rid of my FJG so my wife and I will just have to figure something out :)

Oh yay, more Mustang II hate. That car kept the lights on and enabled the Mustang to thrive and be here today. The top 5 (full) years for Mustang sales were 1966 (607,458), 1965 (559,451), 1967 (472,121), 1974 (385,993) and 1979 (369,936) (Source: CJ Pony Parts). In fact, 1974 sold only ~26,000 less cars than the total sales of the prior three years. The worst year of Mustang II sales handily beat the best year of S550 sales. And while we’re at it let’s knock off “the V8 is the only real Mustang” crap. Not everyone needs to play boy racer.

Don’t take the forum so seriously. :like: It’s ok to poke fun at things sometimes.

But seriously, the mustang II was an abomination and it makes baby Jesus cry to this day.

I’m sorry I should’ve said V8. That’s my bad. But an eco. Stop. Nice car. Not a mustang.

Having been around the car scene since my mid-teens (45+ years), it irritates me when I see people pumping up their likes by dumping on their dislikes. I pretty much like all cars, and am happy to discuss same with their owners. I backed up my argument with facts, the above simply reinforces my point.

You must be a blast to hang with at parties.
Not every post in every thread needs to be a serious discussion with “facts” including sales figures and technical data. Sometimes people try and lighten the mood or make jokes for the hell of it. Next time I’ll try and find a source for exactly when baby Jesus cried over the mustang II so my claim cannot be disputed🙄

LOL, you just keep throwing out the insults as “lightening the mood”. Just admit that the Mustang II was a sales success in its time and move on. And baby Jesus is more likely crying over your behaviour than a piece of metal.

Point taken. But without the Mustang II there might never have been a S550. For better or worse, it's part of our legacy.
Not mine. I was born in ‘84 :wink: My legacy starts with the 5.0 fox bodies and t type regals of the 1980’s.

@Johnnybee gets the mustang II
