Found Protektive Coatings when I did my 2019 paint protection story for Hot Rod Magazine https://www.motortrend.com/how-to/paint-protective-films-can-protect-car-rocks-save-paintjob/amp/. Wanted to redo that story and fill in the gaps that we left out in that article.

Juan Madrigal used to be on West Coast Customs when they were on TV, and he services multiple dealerships, so he came highly recommended when we found him.

In the Hot Rod Magazine article, he installed 3M, I assumed he was going to use them this time around, but he raved about Avery Dennison and wanted to use it over 3M. So we moved forward with the story and Avery Dennison came onto the project later once I approached them for comment on the story. ClearPlex was the only retuning company from the 2019 article.

He just finished covering another HE, base model painted stripe. I went over to snap a pick of the two together.

Dude, they only made like 50 Heritage cars. One for each state. I got the NJ allocation.

Dude, they only made like 50 Heritage cars. One for each state. I got the NJ allocation.

Are we saying there were only 50 heritage cars made or only 50 with black stripes? If It’s the former, that’s not going to be the case. There’s a ton of them for sale right now on Cars.com and that doesn’t count the ones already sold. Some have speculated it may be one of the largest production models for GT500’s in 2022, but will see.

I’d hope so, but not sure how obvious it is anymore. People have all types of beliefs that are misguided and dealers have certainly said such things like that to justify a large markup.

There's only like 20 on cars.com. 4 on ebay, 3 on BaT, 1 at Barret Jax, 1 at Mecum and maybe 15 belong to Mustang6G and Fordgt500.com members, and I'm #50. Stop speculating and making mischief. It's the lowest production special edition car ever....E V E R.
