2020 GT500's Scheduled For Production - Part 2

For you folks who have been delayed or recently issued a VIN, you'll be interested in the nomenclature used by the tracking sites if you haven't been following Earl's reports for the past few months.

To give you an idea of what start to finish looks like, here's the final VVR for my vehicle and it's in date-descending order.

I would have liked to have a copy of one back in October when things started rolling for the initial production.

Thanks KB for posting that, it is something all customers should ask for and receive from their dealers on the day they pick up their car. This document has a very short lifespan, it is only available for a few days after the cars arrival and as soon as the dealer reports the car sold, the VVR disappears.
You snooze, you lose.

Now if they can just ship without any delays. That seemed to be the problem with the cars that were produced late 2019.

They were dealing with a railroad strike and fuel tank issues, hopefully the railroad is back up to speed and the fuel tank problem has been resolved.

I have to imagine the fuel tank problem has been resolved by now. I don’t think they’d keep producing cars if it was still an issue. As for the railroad strike, hopefully that’s all resolved as well

I can't speak for CSX as mine wasn't on them long enough to nail down their system. So, if yours is going East by rail, that's who'll you'll deal with.

For westward bound vehicles, I found the UP phone system to be excellent and as timely as you might expect. Not days late but often hours, in terms of reporting.

I'm sure the fuel tank issue is behind everyone now and from what I could see, the CSX strike is no longer affecting delivery times.

Snoopy Thanks for taking care of my log in ID You are right at it. It looks as though production is really starting to pick up. I will advise of VIN when I receive it. PF blue base ordered jan 20 Watertown NY I check in every day for encouragement so keep it coming
