Thanks, I was was dig for it tonight in the forum as I remember seeing it. Also, was it ever clarified if the chamber plates came with the handling pack?
The latest order guide doesn't list them, but there is other evidence that says they will be available Summer 2020. So the answer is, maybe.

Feels like "home" in Part 1, Earl. <warm smile>

But, I'm beyond tired of reading about our wonderful situation so I think I will just go out in the garage with a fresh latte, and look at Sarah for awhile.

I suggest that you do the same, amigo. Let's take a break..

Just to verify, I asked the dealer on Friday about the camber plates, he called back today and said they are at the dealer and that I need to bring it up to have them installed. So seems like a go on camber plates being part of the handling pack.

Well, I guess it was inevitable, but this week I sustained the first small nick in the white vinyl striping on the GT500, up front on the hood. What do you guys recommend for patching the vinyl nicks on your cars?

Thanks! Jeff

Based on current and previous owners that have been given camber plates for their GT500 from their dealer, it is highly unlikely that they were earmarked specifically for your car and were probably intended to go to a GT350 owner that purchased from the same dealer as you. Look closely at the box they come in as the last few digits of the VIN they were supposed to be matched with will be there. Ask that the box be saved and you'll see what I mean.

ON EDIT and to clarify - I'm speaking to the issue with Base cars with the Handling Package and not CFTP GT500's.

Jeff: I would use touch up paint if you can match the white. I've tried but never succeeded in finding a bottle that color.

Wipe it good with alcohol then, using a toothpick and maybe even a magnifying glass, apply the paint one dot t a time.

Can you show me where Splitter Wickers, Front Camber Adjustment Plates, or Oil Mist Separators are for a specific base model car, having a portion of the VIN on the label?

CFTP L5500846 was produced on October 21, 2020. It arrived with these factory boxed items in the truck and the main front splitter in the cabin. None of the labels have anything close to referencing the VIN. Interesting enough, my parts labels are as follows:
  • Splitter Wicker label shows shipped to FRAP, Shipped September 12, 2019, Part Number KTLR3V-C109A31-AC5YZ9, Serial Number 18764810, for Customer G9W1A.
  • Camber Adjustment Plates label shows shipped to FRAP, Shipped October 16, 2019, Part Number KR3J-3D122-AA, Serial Number 020738242, for Customer G9W1A.
  • Oil Mist Separator shows shipped to FRAP, Shipped October 2, 2019, Part Number KR3V-6D600-AD, Serial Number 227401, for Customer G9W1A.
Only my car cover was shipped directly to the dealership. I note that base models appear to have the Front Suspension Camber Adjustment Plates shipped directly to the dealer as addressed on the label, but mine came in the trunk and is addressed to the FRAP. And I note that I must be Customer G9W1A (even though I have not seen that number before).

Just trying to gain clarity on who gets what and when. I am thinking that for Base Models, the FRAP simply sends a part number to the dealership.

Lookin' for some :sun:.

The issue is with respect to plates and Base cars with the Handling Package - not CFTP cars. If you aren't up to speed on the issue with plates and Handling Package cars then I'd suggest reading through the following thread...

https://www.mustang6g.com/forums/threads/2020-gt500-oem-camber-plates-base-handling-pkg.135155/

My response was to a Base owner, Venomous Pony.

The plates that GT500 owners have been getting, Base owners, have been in boxes that were destined for GT350 owners and that had been shipped to a given dealership's parts department as laid out in the thread I linked.

Yes, I understand. I was simply trying to point out that to me it appears suspension plates are a part number shipped directly to the dealership, and possibly issued to Base Car owners from inventory. I do not see a reference to a specific customer, as with the CFTP plates.

Thanks for your informative posts on this subject!

Thanks.

I can only say that some boxes intended for GT350's (with VIN data on the box label) ended up being given to GT500 Base with Handling Package owners. Those boxes were all shipped to dealership parts departments. The CFTP GT500 appears to be a different animal with respect to the plates.

When it comes to flaps, wickers, and separators, they simply come uninstalled, in boxes and inside the car (as you know). I suppose there would be no need for corresponding VIN data on those items just as when plates are included with a CFTP car. What is interesting is that GT350's that clearly include the plates as per option content have them shipped to the dealer while CFTP GT500's come included in the car. Weird. Maybe just a supply issue as I see some of the plate content comes from Belgium...?

Flat Rock Assembly Plant is Customer G9W1A.
Right. Was curious about the part shipment dates in relation to my production date...

Thanks!

@RapidResponder
It is interesting to note that your Adjustable camber plates where sent to the Mod Shop. I was wondering where those were placed in the trunk.

I personally think they should have installed them at the MOD Shop. Instead, I had it done here. I have wrenched many a performance vehicle, but did not want to pull the strut on this brand new bad boy. "A mans gotta' know his limits"...
