There is a part number out there somewhere. People own 19's already and driving them on the road and if one happens to get wrecked in back, would need replacement parts.

I like to disassemble things.
Part number for the swing spoiler isn't showing up yet but should be soon.

On another note, the R model wing...the price of CF parts will come down they said...

zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz R spoiler Capture.JPG

This is insane. I can't wait to see how much the GT500 CF Track Pack wing is going to go for...

Interesting that it says usage is for 07/13/2015 - 06/06/2079?

Is that a typo, or is it on purpose

They use 2079 repeatedly with various parts on the site.

Here's a link to an article on a first drive of the 2019 GT350. Probably the best part of the article is the comparison of lift and downforce generated with Gurney flap on vs off and compared to 2018.

https://www.motorauthority.com/news...stang-shelby-gt350-gets-a-grip-on-its-mission

"This unique wing offers an optional Gurney flap that can be bolted on to improve downforce. With the Gurney flap in place in a track configuration, the 2019 GT350 conjures up 53 pounds of front lift and 238 pounds of rear downforce at 120 mph. Put the car in a street configuration without the Gurney flap and those numbers change to 40 pounds of front lift and 135 pounds of rear downforce. The 2018 model created 64 pounds of front lift and 186 pounds of downforce."

Again, you'd be amazed at what small thing such as the '16 Track Pack or '17 - 18 base spoiler will do.

So would the track pack + painted Tru fiber gurney be a good alternative combo?

With that info and the blurb about the 19 dropping the coefficient of drag by only .010 I would dare say that the 15-18 version is the better all rounder. I certainly doubt you will feel the additional 52 lbs of downforce that you get with the 19 version with the gurney flap. Given the hype around the 19, I was expecting more impressive numbers.

Just curious, if you change the rear downforce on a pre-19 by adding the new rear wing without altering the front aero do you upset the aerodynamic balance of those cars?

I think the previous version is as well. However I feel like there wasn'ta whole lot of hype around the '19 car either and what changes we got were plenty warranted and reasonable. However I feel the MSRP has gotten a pinch out of hand.

That's what I am thinking too; car was calibrated as a whole with the new wing, they change the airflow in the front, suspension was re-calibrated. I don't think just slapping that wing will do.. I will keep my stock for sure, I have no problem how car handles on and off track.

I think, IMO, if your last name isn’t Andretti, Rossi, @honeybadger, or your some other magical creature, I’d argue on the street will never make a difference, and unless you fall into the aforementioned category, you’ll be hard pressed to tell on a track. I know the thought of such would never influence my decision to swap it out if I wanted to. Could be wrong, but....

Does it make a difference? Sure; the numbers are there. Would I ever feel it? Probably most likely nope.

Look at it this way, the R got the same changes.. but still has the same wing that it's always had. Surprised they haven't revamped it any.

I thought the R changes are coming in 2020. Could be that it does get it.
