Yesterday I traded in my 2016 Track Pack GT350 for a 2019 R-model. One thing I've noticed is that it seems I am sitting lower in the seat in the 2019 R than I was in my 2016 GT350. Along with this, the gauges seem to be angled up from what my 2016 was. Am I missing something here or does one sit lower in the seat in the R-models?

If you had Recaros in your '16 Track Pack ( which I think was the only seat available ) then the seating position in the R should be the same assuming you had the seats set up exactly the same way. The seats in the '16 tech pack and in later years with the heated/cooled seats do not go as low as the Recaros. Also keep in mind that the R sits a bit lower than your '16, but that doesn't account for your question re the gauges.

No changes in gauges and if you had the Recaros in both cars, no change there either.

Thanks for the replies and yes, had Recaros in my 2016. Will fool with my seat more to try and replicate what I had.

Yes, the seats in the 2019 GT350R sit a little lower than your 2016 Track Pack car.

Not sure what your chassis number is for your 2019 R but here are pictures of "KR001" which is the first R model built for the 2019 MY and already has an interesting history!

Also note the unique VIN series for the Pilot Production cars.

Good luck with your new 2019 R model as a terrific automobile.

This vehicle has done a great deal of drifting with a well known Ford driver along with having the windshield replaced, second set of tires, new chin spoiler and all with very few miles on the car.

Aside from all that I really like the cool color Race Red/Black Roof combination along with being the first 2019 R model produced at the FRAP.

:)

Does your seat have the two side levers mine has? One releases the seat back to change the angle and the other one pumps the seat base up and down. You might find you can get the same height as you're used to by pumping the seat height up.

Bingo, and this solved it for me so a big TY! I never played/payed attention to this adjustment on my 2016 since it we set right for me.
