I have a 2019 GT on an e85 tune with odd rev hang behaviors and intermittent rev hang with active rev match.

Mostly around 2500-3500 rpm the car will rev hang pretty bad on up shifts. The car will also rev hang in gear for a few seconds with 0 throttle input. Usually in 2nd and 3rd with light throttle if I let off around 2500rpm the car will continue forward for 3-5 seconds before engine braking starts.

When slowing down, the lower gear active rev match downshifts will also have an odd rev hang around 2500 rpm. It won’t hold the rev where the next gear will be, but at 2500rpm.

My tuner could not figure out the exact cause of the issue only mentioning the possibility of my fuel quality (e71+-).

The 91 octane tune has no issues and drives like stock.

Any ideas?

put a lund flex tune in it and see or flash back to stock ,but it seems obvious the tune is off a bit

Datalog it and let your tuner know. They will fix it before any of us can

My tuner could not figure out the exact cause. He wasn’t really much help unfortunately after a few logs. All he mentioned was the possibility of my fuel e71 vs e85. I honestly figured that the custom tune I purchased would be sufficient for them to make changes to my tune based on my mods and fuel but I guess not.

The Rev hang happened on my 2015 GTPP stock and tuned. I talked to my tuner at the time and they said it can be turned off with a new tune. I opted to leave it alone since I was used to it. Obviously I didn't have the Rev hang on down shifts, since downshifting Rev match wasn't an option then.

Also, timing ramps on E70/85 are going to be more aggressive than 93, so they could be contributing too. But it definitely sounds like your tuner needs to try harder.

I reached out to my tuner once again after about a month. He sent me a new map to try out.

I watched Alejandro Flores from Lund Tuning last night mention that you may or may not have issues with Active rev match and e85. He essentially suggested to learn how to drive around the issues.

seems to be a common issue that can happen.

I’m stock and not tuned yet and I have the rev hang and it’s annoying.

I can’t wait to put a tune on it and get that rev hang knocked out. Love the rev matching feature and I can’t really recall any unnecessary hang on the downshifts but on the up shifts it sucks.

Yea my 20 does the same thing after doing some high rpm pulls. It’ll hang the revs up and won’t decel like it normally will for a little and if you up shift it’ll buck. Did you ever figure it out or just learned to deal with it?

My car did the same when it was new, it seems to be doing it less and less as I get closer to 10,000 miles. It might have something to do with emissions/oil vapors.
