Hey everyone,

I came across something funky today. I was going to change my front grille emblem to black and watched some videos online. When I followed Bill from CJ it appears my 2019 GT has active grille shutters. I was pretty certain that only the Ecoboost had that. See attached photos.

Should I go to the dealership or did they change something for 2019.

Very odd. Thanks for the article but I can't figure out why some GT's have it and others don't. Might call Ford and just ask. There is nothing in my owners manual about it.

Is it possible Canadian cars have them and not US cars?

Yes, my car, ( base GT 400A ) has these so called " active shutters" however, it doesn't really aid in warm up, >car takes forever to get to op temp< or to keep things cooler when working the car, mine is an A-10 so it has big tranny radiator in front of everything...

I have a 401A but basically the same car. Might take mine off at some point. Just need to figure out how to get my front emblem off.

For anyone interested, I managed to get the front emblem off. Long story short, I took fishing line and used a plastic pry tool or small a screwdriver to push it behind the horses feet. Then I pulled the line to give me enough space to wedge a screwdriver in there. Took another small screwdriver to the other side of the legs and just slightly higher and then pulled forward. Clips broke very easily and it came right off.

2018 300a base with PP1. No shutters. Would not think they would help much for mpg’s.

Maybe it is a Canadian requirement?
