Is there anyone else dealing with this frustrating fuel rail recall? I was called early last week and was urged to bring the car to the dealer for a rental replacement immediately. I chose to park the car as it's a second vehicle. At the time of the call,I was told it was a fuel rail issue and the parts were getting shipped out for replacement quickly. Here I am a week later of parking my new ride and was told this morning they still don't even have the parts to send out with no realistic time frame of when I would be able to drive my brand new ride. I didn't intend on putting them on blast, but this is ridiculous.

That is pretty common for recalls. I deal with it all the time working at a dealer.

Just get the free rental and let them have the car. If it is at the shop for a long time contact Ford customer care.

No tears here. It runs fantastic and I’m super happy with the car. Just disappointed in how haphazardly Roush is handling this third party recall. But keeping the car lets me assure it’s out of the weather and I’ll know exactly when they begin the work becasue I’ll have to take it to them.

I spoke with them today. They told me they are still sorting things out with the supplier on how and when they can get parts out:frusty: I’ve also asked what is the problem exactly to which I was told to leave my number so they can contact me.

Is this Recall only for the '18? I have a '16 and did the Roush blower myself.

If they tell you the actual problem can you shoot me a PM? I've asked that question a few times now. I already cut my crossover tube between the rails based on the information they gave me that they would have the parts early this week.

Also, if you have a 10R80 car they are supposed to have a tune update for the transmission control as well, Supposed to stop the torque restriction.

Any information I get I will pass onto you . Just don’t get why they’re being so hush hush about it. I only had the car for a day:frusty: It’s been at the dealer since April 30th

Please update me too on anything you guys hear. I plan to call Monday and ask a few questions myself. I’ve driven the car a bit, but am staying out of it. But based on what yall know, should I just park it? I figure if something breaks they’ll just have to fix that too. TWo weeks in with no info is total BS.

They told you NOT to drive it but park it or take it immediately to a dealer and get a free rental. If you chose to ignore that and drive it—things go bad it maybe on your dime.

It won’t be on your dime.

That’s not how a recall works.
