It's going to be just like every other refresh.. Case in point.. People acting like this is going to be a complete new car, LOL

Bumper covers, hood, lights.. miner changes.

Don't forget how the 13/14 track pack cars got the Boss 302 manifold. If Ford wanted to, they have several parts they could trickle down from the GT350 like the intake manifold to keep the s550 relevant and give it a mild power bump. Still keeping my fingers crossed for more power and mag ride as an option.
'13/14 TP cars did not get the Boss manifold just a heads up...only the Boss did.

Which also lends support to my (totally unbased) theory that the refresh will basically take the Mustang to looking like a GT350 front end..Ford's history supports this.

Will it be indentical? No..just as the 2013/14's werent identical to the GT500, but they were all similar.
I have heard that the design influence car sitting in the design office during the 2018+ Mustang Midcycle is infact the GT350. I doesn't sound like they will be as similar as the 2012 to 2013 jump.

Lower hood, wider fenders, new head and tail lights.

My thoughts as well. It's supposed to be a mid-cycle 'refresh' so IMHO don't see it being more than cosmetic changes and possibly the 10-speed auto.
Sometimes cosmetic changes make a big difference, even if minor.

Add in the 10 speed auto, possible PP on the auto, mag ride, dual exhaust and maybe improved stereo and gauges and that's a nice refresh.

I think that's pretty accurate on where they are going with the design. The GT350 IMO just looks better from the windshield forward compared to the GT. It just flows better overall especially with the lower hood and the front fascia compliments the rest of the car.

I'm not sure I want to like the 2018 or not. Part of me wants to hate the refresh so that I'm "forced" to buy my 15GT out after the lease and save a bit on monthly payments. The other part of me wants the refresh to be a Camaro killer that I can order in half a year. The internal struggle is real.

What?
We need to bring back the Grande'.

We need a true luxury version.

Like the late 60s and early 70s.

I never cared for the 2010-2012 modell, but i adore the 2012-2014 GT, i think it is one of the most stylish Cars ever Made. If it wouldnt have been for the IRS, i would have bought one. I think these "Small" changes, can have a significant effect on the Car.

Alright, I've read a lot of other's speculation on the refresh, this is what I think. The s550 thus far, has been an absolute home run for ford. Its even started pulling fan boys, like myself, from other brands. Having said that, I seriously doubt Ford will make any major changes to it like lowering the weight. To me the hood doesn't look like its been changed that much. Just looks like the spears are gone and honestly looks a bit dull. I also HIGHLY doubt there will be a glass roof option. It didn't sell well before, the car is selling perfectly fine now, why would they dump that much money to make it another expensive option that very few would willingly pay for? I think a front fascia change, slight change to the rear bumper to accomodate quad tips and different wheels will be the extent of the exterior changes. From there hopefully a more modern interior is in works as I despise the retro guages (one of my biggest pet peeves about the car), a power bump (possibly from DI or useage of the GT350 manifold from factory for the v8) change to the tune for the EB and v6 (I bet the NA V6 will be dead after this generation), and the 10r60 is almost a guaranteed. I'd be thoroughly surprised if the exterior changes much more than I mentioned. I'd love to be able to bolt on OEM panels to my 15 that are improved, but I doubt it will be enough to justify the cost. Just my $.02 and soon enough we will get a full view of the updates.

DI-Yes
A10:Yes
GT350 manifold: No
GT350 exhaust manifolds: No

Let's just say that going to a DI/PI combo results in a power gain of..5%..even at 5% that's going to be 21.75HP and 20 TQ. Let's round up that HP to an even number, so 22. So you'd see a 457 HP, 420 TQ 5.0 that gets better fuel economy and pulls harder, especially with the A10.

I'd be happy with that.

Googled "2017 fusion headlights" and found the video below, it's from the 2017 Ford Mondeo / Fusion.

Nice find...I wouldn't doubt if the front got rid of the blinkers and worked them into the main LEDs...would be awesome.

Looks good Ivan!

I would suggest staggering the two inboard high-beam lights to match the slope of the housing.
