2018 Mustang GT Whipple issues

Was recently driving and while doing a pull the valve cover blew a piece of itself out. I'll attach a picture of the damage, these areas were letting smoke out and were clearly not sealed anymore. I drove the car home and parked it. Ive replaced the valve cover. Even with the replacement. The car will smoke, idle rough, and die while driving more often when coming to a stop. The locals shops don't want to touch it because it's tuned. Not sure what to chase down from here, no CEL at all during this entire process.

How much boost are you running, and have you had any catch cans/ crankcase breathers installed?

Im not a whipple expert, but i believe 11pounds is going to be more than stock, if you actually have 11psi, its possibly you blew some seals and pcv stuff from crank crase pressure, normally at this psi most have a breather.

Im unsure what checks you did so far as well as how much you are comfortable doing yourself, i would recommend start with checking oil level, and doing a compression check. Maybe do an oil change and check if the oil in the motor has metal in it. if you replaced the valve cover, it would be very weird that it is still smoking

I did an oil change already, I had what looked like a larger piece of a ring in the oil, however I just moved into a new house, brought the oil pan so im not sure if this piece of metal was actually in the oil or was already in the pan, or where it came from, I wouldn't thing a big piece of a ring could make it into the oil that way. I'll do a compression test tonight.
Well, based off that, i would say its likely you could have went too hot and the rings over expanded and blew a ring land, the pistons have a very very easy way of getting to the oil pan, almost a straight path, its likely your piston has a couple pieces missing and a ring came out of the oil pan. Compression test should confirm that, its unfortunate to say that its likely going to be a rebuild at this point. But let us know with the compression test, one or more cylinders should have substantially low pressure if you indeed blew up

Compression test should confirm that, its unfortunate to say that its likely going to be a rebuild at this point. But let us know with the compression test, one or more cylinders should have substantially low pressure if you indeed blew up
240 on the driver side for all, which is where the valve cover blew and was replaced. I stopped checking after seeing a 90 and a 60 on passenger side. Build short block time.

Sorry to hear buddy, i figured the valve cover blew from the combustion through the broken pistons.

Man that blows 11 pounds doesn’t seem that crazy should be high 7-8 is it common for the ringland to drop at that power level ? Or it’s just the heat in the piston ?
