2018 LFG vs 2020 Shadow Black Purchasing Decision

The oil consumption and motor stuff has been beat to death. It’s way past the point of being usefull information any longer. The reality is the nice cars are not a dime a dozen, especially when someone is after a specific spec and color. The price side has also been beat to death. Reality there is again, the nice cars bring the dollars. At the end of the day if you find a car that checks all the box’s(or almost all), a few grand either way doesn’t matter. And lastly, drop a few grand for a good extended warranty and go enjoy the car. It looks like your dealing with a decent dealer which is an added bonus.

fair point, but please remember that not everyone around here is in the financial position to do the same…and some of us that are, will gladly wait for the first owner(s) to take the initial depreciation hit 🫠

Yea I understand. I bought my 350R used. But again, I didnt buy it from a dealer. Found a private seller, 1 owner that after chatting I was very comfortable buying from. Fly to VA and drove it home. Easy transaction. I passed on a 17 non R a year before that , which was local but was a great buy as well. They are out there. I've just heard too many horror stories about performance cars traded to dealers. Are they all that way. nope, lots of good ones get traded too, I just want to know the owner myself.

My Gen 2 Raptor I bought new 7 years ago and 107k miles. Keeping it for quite a bit longer but when i do buy another ill probably look for a cream puff used. Primarily in the south so I could rust proof the frame. The aluminum bodys are great but the frames show rust which isnt a super big deal but bugs me.

So here is an interesting thing.. ordered a replacement supplemental owners package from Ford Show Parts. Chassis number doesn’t match.

Oh decisions... the dealer is willing to drop the price to $55K (Before Tag/Tax/Title/Processing Fees).. The history on this one is great.. its in fantastic shape sans a few rock chips and the front spoiler has some scrapes..

2018 LFG with 10K miles.. recaros and tech package… maintenance records and cpo (90/days or 4k/miles)

As a 2018 owner, I do have to say I paid 55k (in Fredericksburg, VA) before tag/tax/title/processing for a 2018 Kona Blue GT350 tech package and Recaros with 20k miles, although no CPO (still have a warranty on the car). Maintenance records were all there too! The car is also on a Gen 1 Voodoo as well. Mine also came with the owner's kit and car cover! So I don't think 55 is bad for an LFG with only 10k miles. Is there an owner kit with the car? also will they let you buy a ford extended cpo?

Thanks!!! I ended up getting them down to $54K with Blue CPO (4K/3months) but because it’s CPO, Lombard is giving me a steeper discount on their extended Ford Service Plans.

That Kona blue is stunning! One of my favorite ford colors.

LFG wasn’t on my radar as I wanted ford performance, velocity, or Kona blue but man it’s hard to find those with a clean carfax, unmodified, lower mileage, and well maintained. If you do, they are over priced.

LFG has grown on me lol.

i have a extended warranty on the car is just ford but they are just as good they are 100$ deductible and it covers the car head to toe for 86k miles or 6 years!
