I was looking at some threads in the GT350 section about retrofitting the puddle lights into pre-2019 housings....when I went to Tasca’s site to lookup the part numbers, I stumbled across three versions of the reverse light. The first one is the same for all mustangs, all years and says “level 4”, not sure what that means. The other is level 3 and the last one says led and these are only shown on 2018+ with the front end update. So I’m wondering if Ford updated the whole housing for an led version, or just the bulb? Can someone confirm? I have the diode dynamics now in mine...it’s okay, prefer an oem solution if possible.

FR3Z-15500-A ...... level 4 lamp assy $65.90
JR3Z-15500-C ...... level 3 lamp assy $93.09
JR3Z-15500-A ....... led lamp assy $51.26

Not sure about the housing but I do know 18s and up all come full led.

The reverse bulb on my 2018 ecoboost was not LED. I replaced it for diode dynamics.

The only ones that were are, headlights, fog lights, tail lights.

Everything on the interior is halogen also.

I took the plunge. Spoke to Tasca and they confirmed it is led and new lens for 2018+, same plug and mount, so will fit older models. Should be a direct swap. I’ll advise when I get it next week....and keep y’all posted.

Weird. Do you have a premium model? Mine has led interior lights. Maybe not the reverse as I can't tell when I'm backing up

My backup light was incandescent, as were my interior lights and the rear side marker lights. Replaced all with LED.

I have a premium and its halogen interior and reverse
Same here...replaced both. Reverse light took 30 seconds.

Interior was a major PITA and probably not worth it....although now that it is done am happy.

I do have premium. As TnWHTMARE mentioned above I did all the same thing. Bought Diode Dynamics replacement bulbs. The interior is by far the worst to replace.

2018 here. My reverse and interiors were plain bulbs, except the trunk was oddly LED. And yeah, I Diode Dynamics’ed it to go all LED.

2019 GT350... all incandescent.

Too look at your reverse light, put it in accessory mode and throw it in reverse with the car off.

Sorry guys, kind of lost track of this thread. First off, the light I ordered that Tasca said was led was not led. It had an incandescent bulb even though it was labeled as led. Secondly, while it was the new Mustang light, as I had hoped, it which is much larger than the gt350. I mean, like 3” longer and about 1” taller. It was huge. I verified this going to a local dealer. So I sent it back and got a refund. So no swap from the face lift....sorry to lead y’all down a rabbit hole...

The only interior light that was a problem for me was the glovebox and the trunk, the mirror and map lights were easy
I also put the DD side marker led lights in and they were the hardest of any of them
