I recently discovered that my IMRC shaft has snapped, and I am looking to replace the manifold. I have found that 2018 manifolds are more ready-available. Could anyone tell if any modifications would be needed to swap manifolds?

Lock them out on the 2018 IM and have your tuner turn them off. This way you‘ll avoid the possibility of having this issue pop up again later on down the road. When I locked them out on my 2019 Bullitt, I saw what appeared to be wear marks (rounding of the square port that mounts onto and controls the shaft) on the actuators which to me, indicated that a malfunction of my IMRCs could be imminent.

To use an 18 manifold you will need a tune. The easiest swap is to use a gt350 manifold and a TB adapter so you can use your current Throttle Body.

No tune needed.

Other than the lockout, are there any other components I need to swap over? or is it pretty much plug and play?

Any negative side effects down the road from swapping to a gt350 manifold? this is my daily driver

None. VMP makes a very good adapter. many dealers were doing this swap under warranty when the Gen 2 manifold was not available.

Outside of the adapter this swap is plug and play. Everything works like stock.

Should i just go straight through ford performance for the GT350 manifold? and anywhere i can source the adapter?

GT350 manifold, don't let anyone talk you out of it.
18+ is a hassle and not worth the installation effort vs the GT350 gains.
I'm about 5 years of daily on mine, think I might be the first guy here running the GT350 x 80mm TB on the OEM tune.
It Redlines in an instant. Around town driveability is superb.

Did you have any issues with fitment?

Not at all.
I printed the Ford Performance PP3 installation manual and bought a few extra items to help expedite the install. Hardest part was slacking out the rear IMRC connector leads.
What sort of extra parts did you purchase, and any chance you give a link to the manual ?
