I received my cluster and trim today. Installed both! I am not able to get FORScan to let me change any as built data. I have been emailing db252 and FORScan for some assistance on that. Right now its telling me to check 4x4...4wd mustang coming in the future??

Nothing really works. It shows me my speed and RPM and basic trip/fuel economy right now. I have a U2100 code which says the module hasn't been initially configured yet. Hopefully when I can finally get the ABD to change that will go away. I have a pretty good idea what I need to set everything to. Drive modes don't work nor does steering modes/tc/esc. It also doesn't dim when you turn the lights on. The poor thing just needs to be set up. Hopefully I can get it to work tomorrow with some direction from the FORScan guys and having my OBDLink MX instead of my crappy ELM with a switch on it.

It looks awesome though!

Try un-install forscan then re-install.

Install pretty easy? I'm sure just getting it installed put a smile on your face.
Yup the install isn't that hard. You just have to cut this piece of plastic out and put some padding in the rear. The trim pieces are super easy to remove. It sure was exciting to get in. Theres a slight rattle though so I need to put a little more padding in some other spots back there. I'll take pics.

Try un-install forscan then re-install.
Thanks I will try that. I have an OBDLink MX at work I'll try tomorrow. I've been using a cheap ELM with a switch I installed.

I think he needs to check his transfer case or locking hubs. :D
LOL. There was a instrument cluster code that said it couldn't talk to the transfer case control module. Just funny thats something enabled by default.

Reinstalled and I even deleted the files in the documents folder. Did not work. The weird thing is it still had my configurations saved (for my other car, I didn't load it for the mustang), and the extended license was already loaded in. I have that download in my downloads folder still. Is there some better full uninstall I need to do?

Let’s just see what that other (better) obd module does tomorrow. We will get you working. You’ve probably never been so excited to go to work.

Hah! I have a meeting all morning too so I probably won't be able to do it until lunch time or even after lunch if I end up going to lunch with people... We'll see!

Thats ok. I know I'll get it to work. Now I REALLY can't wait to get the SCCM and buttons... I can live with it telling me to check my transfer case.

That looks awesome!! I so want to do this mod on my GT PP, but since I'm in India, the risk of this failing is way too much. Perhaps, I'll write to Tasca and see if they can offer any insights!

Once I get everything installed and all the kinks worked out I'm happy to work on one. Db252 will have some great input and p6cl will have great input for people with automatics. There are still some minor kinks to work out and as far as I know p6cl is the only one that has the new SCCM so far. Which means he has the closest to fully functional swap.

No reason you can’t do this. It’s just a matter of ordering/getting the right parts and coding. Location is irrelevant.

I’ll be doing an install posting as well on a new posting once I get my last part. I’ll also do one on the heated wheel but not till everything is functional.

p6cl - I tried again today with an OBDLink MX and a new virgin computer that has never had FORScan installed. Downloaded the latest version from their website (2.3.13) and an extended license for it. Same error. When I try to write to the IPC it says "service procedure has been interrupted".

If you have a chance, and you have a second PC, can you try installing the latest version from their website and see if it works for you? Don't screw up your already working one though!

I sent my log files to the FORScan guys - we'll see what they say. Itching to get drive modes working and the 4x4 error off! I want to see those sexy modes.
