hey guys,
had a quick question. I have a base mustang ecoboost and I did the digital dash. I just did the PP gauges. Is there any way to have the pp gauges change color from the digital dash?
Thanks

I very much doubt it. The gauge colors come from your My Color settings. If your car doesn't have My Color, no codes to change the gauge color will be getting to them.

So I finally have all the pieces I need to do the swap..I think…I hope. Anyway, I just downloaded FORScan and it talks about the OBD readers and that it doesn’t really support the ELM 27 anymore. So I have the one in the link, has anyone used it or do I need another one.

https://www.amazon.com/Scanner-FORScan-Adapter-ELMconfig-Diagnosis/dp/B083FML519/ref=sr_1_8?crid=WE87BI5FCUIN&keywords=obdlink+ex&qid=1682469184&sprefix=Oblink,aps,165&sr=8-8
More money but worth it, will not need to toggle the switch. Has automatic switching built in the unit.

Good luck!

Thanks. This is one of the ones they recommend on the site. It just sucks since I already have that one. I hate to have to spend another 60.00 to use it once.
It's Amazon, return... I have other Ford products so I get it, program and most of the time it sits in the drawer. Don't forget to backup all your programming once done just in case.

Good luck!

Yeah I thought about that…I really hate to be that guy but I probably will end doing that. I have 30 days to use it.

So I have one more question.

The cluster I bought is almost the exact mileage as my car currently has. I’m on vacation this week so I won’t be driving my car, but I’m thinking by Tuesday next week it should be within 2-3 miles, if my math is correct. Here’s my question…

I plan on taking it to work with me and just installing the cluster in my car so I don’t have to mess with changing the mileage. Will the new cluster still work with MPH’s, RPM’s and and continue to add the correct mileage as I drive even though the rest of the cluster won’t be properly programmed? Does this make sense? I will program of course, but not until at least I get home, or maybe the next day.

Drive the current Speedo till your little higher than reported mileage on digital dash. Remember, in Forscan you can raise mileage to match existing. Can't lower in Forscan but that can be done by flashing firmware with special equipment and software which only a few have.

Hi guys, i have spend almost two days reading forums and changing various data like dash AB calibration, different .vbf software etc. Its could be changed by editing eeprom values of dashboard. I have succesfully changed 2018 usa dash to canada KPH speedo version.

I would be gratefull if someone can share eeprom data of bullit dash or new 2020 gt500

As I told before eeprom could be read and write by UCDS

I have been using Forscan for some time for as built changes and have access to genuine IDS and FDRS programming but it is getting harder and harder witht he genuine stuff to step out side factory parameters and forscan is great however haven't found the capability to change or manipulate the eeprom which is what needs changing from all my research if you want to go from MPH to KMKH or Auto to Manual. In my case it is the MPH to KMH i want to achieve such as you have. has anyone else had success with this. Is UCDS the the right program and only program for the job? I am playing with GT500 IPCs

All 5 parts are the same for a MPH and KPH cluster built at the same time.

As far as I know...

Let me get back to you actually because I don't actually know what's in that calibration data.
Yes from what I have seen over the past few weeks with playing around with programming IPCs across different GT500s and using plain GT ones to program in they all have the same firmware's and config files (someone can correct me if i am wrong) the as built is fine for changing between different model options on display but wont change the core attributes from Auto to manual or MPH to KMH which is what I am more interested in doing. Have you had any success with downloading and uploading eeprom files/data?

I have also found that using an earlier model IPC from a GT that was released before the GT500 was available that it doesn't have something embedded in the firmware or eeprom that allows it to do the DTE (distance to empty) correctly so displays DTE 0km all the time.

A few people can bench flash EProm via PC and software. My mileage was zero'd out and converted from automatic to manual. It was installed and then we raised the mileage via forscan to match my previous speedo. It does involve flashing a bin file to the dash to convert to different models mph/kph, auto/manual and then bullit style. My understanding the creator of thread can do it for a price.

Hey, Thanks for the info. I might PM him then as I ok with paying a little money to get to where I need. Just don't like buying new IPCs to get there as they aren't cheap.

Yes, we re-flash the EEPROM to change from auto to manual, Bullitt, mach 1, etc. GT500 of course is different software all together.
