Okay my question is which should I do first on a 2016, digital cluster or Sync 3?

If you can swing it, I'd do both, this way you only have your dash apart once along with all the Forscan programing.. Also, make sure you have a supply of blue and yellow lock tabs for the dash parts... They will probably come off and be lost in the dash area or they will break. Just my 2 cents for what it is worth.

Not sure if this was asked before but does 2015 - 2017 got an option to enable gear indicator? Or its just the RPM function!? Does anyone who installed the digital cluster got the gear indicator on their 15-17?

The hardware isn't physically present to detect the gear. It's 2019+ only.

it can’t. The transmission is missing the actual sensor.

I did the install and everything seems to work expect my rpms. The gauge displays everything else. What is the problem here ?

It's in the list for the codes. 720-02-01
Put a 6 where it shows the asterisk in the code line

Hey guys so I recently installed a cluster I picked up from fb, it works fine but some buttons don’t work. The biggest one is the Mustang emblem button since that controls majority of your features. Does that line coorelate with 724-03-01? If not which line would that be to activate it? 2019 A10 5.0 301a with no additional features (i.e. BLIS). I kept stock clock tower. Thanks!

you need to activate the steering wheel switches. you need forscan for that and need to change one setting in the sccm.

Which setting is that? I have my usb to OBD2 arriving tomorrow so I can poke around then

I found a digital cluster on eBay around the same miles as my 2019 a10 5.0 and it’s an automatic cluster too. I have 301a I know I’d need to buy the steering wheel buttons. What options would I need to change in forscan for it to work properly? Like I said it has the about same miles as my car now. It wouldn’t need a whole lot of programing right?
