I tried this pinout using just power and ground but the cluster wont light up. Does is it need the CAN+ and CAN- to light up? I just want to be sure it works before moving forward with the installation.

IDK, but since there’s no ACC wire going to the cluster, I assume it receives this information over the CAN BUS.

Cluster needs a power on command to be sent thorugh the CAN BUS.

I have a base, non-PP, 300A 2015 GT.

If I add both Sync 3 (w/nav) and the 2018 digital cluster... will the navigation and song title information display in the cluster?

Has anyone tried doing BOTH to see?

I too have the same setup (base non-pp) where I install a SYNC 3 with nav and then install the 2018 digital cluster. Can confirm that the song title info will show up and everything else like the drive modes will work.

First power up in a V6. Cluster is programmed for an 18 EB currently and I did not bother messing with the programming yet. Interesting that the Tach does not work but the trans works perfectly as far as I can tell. Is the tach not working a common issue for unprogrammed clusters or something new for a V6 install?

Looking at doing this upgrade, but not sure if i want to upgrade the stereo from the Sync 3 to an aftermarket system. Can anyone confirm if the song playing still works with other systems? Mainly if you're playing the music from a USB. (Wondering about the Nav too, not that it matters as much to me)
