So I cannot find a clear answer on a few questions...
Will the My Color feature work on a Base GT?
I assume it will but nothing further than the cluster.
Line Lock works still I assume in my Base 2017 GT?
And how is it that the Plug and Play kit does not need programming?
$1600 for a PnP kit with zero Programming?
I thought Forscan programs the ECU to work with the Dash
Or does the "programming " just include the Odometer Miles?
Any other issues with a Base GT with no Performance Pack?
I have illuminated door sills I added with the single color.
and I won't mind if the DD is the only color that changes.

I noticed in the directions that it looks like you have to cut out a plastic mount from the old cluster to get the new one in. Is that the case and if so, would that make it a permanent mod? I really want to do this on my '17 GT/CS but I don't like doing anything that is not easily reversible .

Thanks!
I think it was mentioned that you can reverse it. The cut panel doesn’t keep you from putting the old one back in.

EcoBoosted, any tips or things you learned if you were to do it again?
Just ordered my kit.
If I can find a way to screw it up, I will

As far as the PnP goes, from my understanding the parts that need to be programmed in order to work correctly are the new pieces you order. When you do so you give some info on your car options and he is able to program them properly to match your car. He has done a lot of research and trial and error to get it to work.

Just watch the videos and take your time. I watched the videos thru my phone in the car and followed step by step. The hardest part was removing the long center dash piece. The guy in the video made it look easy but he already had it partially disassembled. Just take your time and use the plastic interior panel removal tools so you don’t break any plastic clips.

I didn't see it here, but I may have missed it. If one were to do the instrument cluster swap, could one also incorporate the active exhaust swap and have it work on the cluster?

I'd like to do both, if it would work.
You cannot easily get active exhaust to work with the 15-17's because it is controlled by the PCM on the 18+.

It is not permanent. The cutting still makes it so you can put the old cluster back in. The top mounting tabs for it are not cut off and therefore are usable if you reinstall the old cluster.

-My color works in the digital cluster for all mustangs. Base or premium, V6, EB, GT.
-Yes line lock continues to work if you already have it
-I program the kit before I ship it out so it is programmed. PM me if interested in this service.
-$1600 is an estimated price for parts only does not include any programming and that requires you to call the dealer and order the parts...
-The programming is done to the cluster and sccm. The miles are programmed by Ford but I have the ability to update that to a higher milage with a tool I have.
-If you do not have navigation you will now have a nav button on the steering wheel that does nothing.
-Not sure what you're asking on the last part.

Hi @breeves002 , I do see that you have the ability to reprogram the mileage for the cluster. So my question is, when I want to trade my car in with the old cluster swapped back, can I send the old cluster (analog one) to you to have it programmed to match the current mileage?

Yes I can raise the milage on any Mustang/Fusion/Focus/Cmax cluster (and maybe a few others). PM me if you need me to do it.

OBDLink MX + (Plus) Warning !!! ScanTool has released a new OBLink MX called the Plus. It is NOT compatible with ForScan yet. However, it has some really cool features for Android and iOS. For example, you can access all the modules via your OBDLink app on the phone. See screenshots below... Not sure if you can program them via the App BUT you can read their settings and run diagnostics on them.

Because it is selling on Amazon and Amazon is showing it as the "new model available," I wanted to let everyone know before they ordered to use it with ForScan and discovered that they cannot see all the MS and HS2/3 buses.

Breeves,
On your Google doc spreadsheet, for the IPC build.
You have your own build starting on Line 81
What build is that you have starting on Line 104, for which model car?

Have you recently updated any new codes? Thanks!

Thats just where I put code that I'm messing around with. Nothing important. Just start with the baseline and adjust from there. Nothing has been changed.

The problem is I did the base build and I lost Line Lock , Launch Control and Hill assist ? :(.

I then tried entering your build starting on line 84 and got a error msg on the first line it wouldn’t let me use/ save that.

Any help would be appreciated As I really miss Line Lock and Hill assist :(

I may need to revisit that base code..I've had several people say they've had issues recently but I never have any problems when I program them. Just did one today. I can provide programming for you for a small fee that will bring that stuff back. Let me know if you're interested.
