I'm not sure what the manual drive line changes really translate to, anyone here have thoughts?

Yea Twin disc, dual mass flywheel, direct drive 4th with two overdrives. Sounds pretty good. I would consider trading my 16 if that and the rest impress.

Gt-350 has a tremec, 18 Gt is an mt-82 with twin disc for easier clutch operation and better clamping force....

I noticed that too and was wondering if Ford decided to dump the MT-82 and go with Tremec. However, I'm pretty sure they will stick with the MT-82 since they've been using it for a while now. I guess two overdrive gears for fuel economy purposes?

I will be longer legs for sure (1:1 on fourth and lower first)...which (for me) it's very desirable. Most likely, fifth would be like the current 6th.

I'm already thinking of swapping my trans with a '18 one. On paper that's the only thing I want from it, and maybe some beefed up suspension components.

Dual mass flywheel should help with shifting at rpm.

I would want to swap trans with an '18 if I was able to find a wrecked '18 only. Other than that, I would prefer to just trade the car in, too much trouble and $$ to swap if I didn't get a really good deal on the '18 trans.

Dual mass flywheel's have historically been junk. A properly designed Twin-Disc/Solid flywheel can have all of the advantages and NVH properties of a DMF/Twin-Disc if designed properly. Plus cost and weight less.

I'm pretty sure currently the ecoboost and V6 have dual mass flywheels while the GT doesn't. I blew out my dual mass flywheel in my v6 after the Procharger install.
