Just checking in on peeps that installed this already and noticed or clocked any performance gains.... 0 - 60 &or 1/4? What about the
  • Automatic calibrations feature optimized performance shift schedule...

... does this alter your stock shifting schedule for better or worse ? :) I think the car is shifting a bit early from its 7400rpm reline unless they up'd the ante on the top
end to take advantage of it... ? I was getting 4.6 on track apps launching ~2000rpms... but reached 4.4 using the paddle shifter at the right moment to obtain a higher rpm shift without hitting redline... but you have to be precise with this and that might be easy in a controlled testing situation, but not easy under the gun :)
Similar to what @Briebee72 said definitely not much of a power gain but may assist with trans tuning especially if it's a base car with no drive modes then any tune would help.

If available in the area then tuning for e85 is a far better bang for your buck. Would get the power increase and the advantage of the trans tuning as well.

Not sure if this is what you are asking but. I think it has made my shifting much more livable and smoother. I have not tested performance but my butt dyno, in my case anyway, is disappointed in this kit. I honestly dont feel much of anything. I could go and test but honestly do i want number son paper to tell me something is better or do I want to feel it. I am in the minority it seems but I wish I could get my money back for this kit. The boost to performance is minimal and for me not worth the cost. as far as the smoothness of the car I think it really smoothed it out and made it a better driving car as far as the trans goes. as for performance or power...eh there is not much it added.
Hmm... well if you can't even feel it... I guess it might not be worth it :/ So it looks like one is better off with another kit or going E85... then again that voids the warranty unless you have a cool dealership :) I'm concerned more in drag racing to get some better numbers ... esp. against some modded 4cyl turbos that beat me by a car ... I think the E85 kit will put me there... I know just improving the launch aspects of the car will def. put me there... that would take ~0.5 off my time right there alone!

Looking this one... any feedback on this kit? Def. want one that can sense the ratio of gas to E85 :)

No need for that. A flex tune will can detect e content. A dedicated e tune will assume it. Any of the major tuners AED/Lund/PBD can do either tune and you would utilize an nGuage or SCT device for loading the tune and data logging.
Anything else needed like new injectors or e85 sensor ?

18 + dual injection is good to go. Just need the tune and the device (SCT or nGuage).

Do TCU tunes for mustangs exist? Well for example tunes are available for my VW DSG for ECU but also TCU ones to vastly improve the DSG performance aside from an ECU tune.

Sounds like 40 whp boost with Ngauge Lund Flex Fuel Tune and the tank is full of E85 ? For $700 more or less, that's not a bad deal at all!

Getting taken by some modded 4 cylinders... Be aware of these cars boys

BMW F30 N20/26 Engine 2.0L Turbo JB4 Stage 2 or X3 E85 Tune (340whp 30psi redline) 0 - 60 4.7- 4.8 secs from the dig! I raced one of these and he almost got me... funny how he was pissed though... going by me afterward and revving the shit out his BMW debadged 328i N20! JB4 Stage 2 on 93 = ~60HP gain... E85 tune ~ 90-100 HP gains on the N20!

Civic 1.5LT E85 Tune or proturbo kit ... E85 tune can hang in the beginning but after 100 you'll be gone.. the proturbokit though is another story... pretty much neck and neck!

I lost some races but not by much ... usually by 0.5 to 2 car lengths. I'm either doing this or E85 Kit... can these be combined ? Looking to to make up the difference in these losses :) Thanks!
MAYBE if you fell asleep at the tree.... :cwl:

Keep in mind that quite a few people who got this kit do feel a difference. I will get this kit because I want to keep my warranty at least the first 3 years and the other issue is having the car smogged, as I pointed out in the other long thread regarding this kit, smogging a car in Cali without the stock software is almost an impossibility now.. I have PM's quite a few people and physically talked to a few who got this kit and they are very happy with it. Here is the dyno from davefzr. This kit along with some 4.09:1 gears and dropping a lot of rotational mass on this car (wheels and tires) will make this car a screamer.

Sounds like it... and you can remove the tune and upload the stock one from a backup... ?

Yup both the nguage and sct devices will back up stock tune. You can revert if you ever need. Some tuners even have you revert to stock if they make a large revision to your custom tune to reflash it first.

Will you have to have Ford dealer install this performance kit to keep warranty? If so what is the cost?
