Hi guys, to keep it short and simple. I have a 2017 mustang gt, stock (not performance package model). I recently bought aftermarket pp1 wheels from facebook market place. The sizes are 275/40/19 in fronts and 305/35/19 in the rear. I went to discount tire to throw them on, and the fronts were so badly fitted that it was rubbbing/scratching my strut i believe. People have been telling me to get 25mm spacers up front to resolve the issue. I just want to make sure exactly what would resolve this situation. Thank you guys!

Do you know what offset the wheels are that you bought? Those tire sizes should be fine with the right wheel.

I think @Andy13186 is on to something.

@rparks550 - If you look on the backside of the wheel/s, the size should be stamped somewhere on the spoke. The offset will be listed next to the letters ET.

25mm is roughly an inch. So yea, that’s what you need to use.

So I looked in the back of the wheel like you said and found the offset to be 52.5mm and the actual wheel itself is sized at 19x9.5. Would you guys think 25mm spacers or 1 inch would be enough for the fronts to be okay to ride and drive on?

stock front pp1 wheels I think are 19x9 around +45 so I think 7mm or more would work fine. rear is 19x9.5 52.5 so rear you wouldn't need any spacers.

I am trying to grab that rear and throw it on the front without having any issues. I am trying to find the right size wheel spacer in order for it to work. Unless you recommend a different solution. Thanks!

You may have OEM rears on the front, and widened or aftermarket wheels on the rear. OEM rears on the front do need a 1 inch spacer.
Your reply sounds exactly like my problem. So if i were to want to run the rears on the front, your saying 25mm spacer would fix the problem?

52.5mm 19x9.5 on a 275/40/19
From the PP1 wheels, 19x9.5 is a rear wheel, so the factory offset is all wrong for the front.
...So yeah, if a spacer is going to fix it, it'll be a big spacer that requires some long-ass studs.

How are you getting a 305-width tire on the rear?

I don't suppose you got a set of 4 rear wheels?

25mm is more than enough. that brings you to 27.5 offset like I said even 8mm would bring you to 44.5. 52.5-8mm =44.5 is going to push your wheels out away from your strut

Yeah i figured the offset is all wrong after i found out the fact that the fronts im trying to throw on are originally rears. My rears are on a 19x10 replica pp1 wheel from AM website. At the moment there isn't any issues i see or hear from the rear. It's just mainly the fronts I am trying to find a solution for

I just ordered some 25mm spacers for the front. So 25mm wheel spacer with the wheel offset being 52.5mm from the wheel and sized at 275/40/19 (19x9.5). So just to confirm. Your saying 25mm will be plenty to resolve the solution? Im sitting on stock suspension also
