2017 ecoboost start issue

Hey guys,

This is my friend´s ecoboost having some issues while trying to start the car, somebody had experience anything similar? Its stock and have replaced some sensors but still having the issue.



we saw high pressure on fuel pump, replaced and issue persits.

replaced:
low Fuel Iniection Pressure Sensor
high Fuel Injection Pressure Sensor
Direct Injection High Pressure Fuel Pump for Mustang
Purge Solenoid Fuel Vapour Hose

You need air, fuel and spark to start. These should all be verified prior to throwing parts at it. In addition, you need to verify that you do not have coolant incursion into cylinders. If there is coolant loss without external leaks, it is likely going into no. 2 and 3 cylinders (they seem to be popular failure points). When it does start, are you getting plumes of thick white smoke (not vapour) out the tail pipes? This is indicative of head gasket failure.

i've share your comments with my friend, since the issue happened the car hasn't run again, so there is no smoke or something

coolant levels are good. it has fuel and spark plugs were new

* I didn't view the vid, so pardon that I don't know if the car is an auto or MT82...


Check and make sure that the brake pedal (and if equipped with MT82, clutch pedal) have not lost the "bumpers". There is a TSB on this issue and if either of those are missing, it will create drivability and starting issues.

Also if it has the MT82, check to make sure the clutch pedal safety switch isn't faulty - if it is, the car won't start. Clutch safety switch failure:
