Priority Code 10 you say, my RHD 2016 was built 08/04 and i have a Priority Code 10 :) No idea where it is at the minute, COITUS doesn't work for UK orders. Expected delivery to our shores is 24th October, however that's already slipped from 14th October.
Fixed. ;)

Happy to help. Call your dealer to request that they change your order's priority code to 10 (or the next number available if there were customers who ordered other Mustangs before you at that dealership).
Is Priority 11 that much further back in terms of production schedule compared to 10? I had asked my dealer to move me up to Priority 10 back when I ordered in June but they said they couldn't (wouldn't?) do it.

I wouldn't complain much about a priority 11. I have the same priority and not worth the trouble to me. Now if it was 19, that is different.

Maybe we can test out roughly how long it takes on highest (vs lowest--mine) priorities. I placed my order back in June also, they attached a 19 priority on it. I feel like I should try to get it bumped up, but probably won't bother the dealer about it any more. As of this moment, nothing in Cotus on it yet.

international orders and RHD

Congrats on your order, 16_ragtop. We’re not scheduling retail orders at this time, but I’m happy to check on yours. Please PM me with your dealer’s name and order number.

Orders are scheduled based on the following criteria, guys:
-the priority code rating
-the dealer's allocation for each production week
-the ordered option content
-the receipt date
The receipt date is a factor when breaking ties for orders with the same priority code. Therefore, the date is the last factor. I hope this helps.

hi USA members. i live in new zealand. interesting reading about the order process. we have people here who ordered dec 2013 awaiting their 2015 mustang and have confirmed delivery dates of november 2015. have been told that RHD vehicles are starting to be made next week and the plant has been converted to do so. there are about, from what i can gather , at least 5-6000 ordered in RHD so far, world wide ( australia, japan, south africa, NZ, etc. ). they are also receiving LHD cars in europe, china, etc. already. so its a much bigger process than a lot of people realize. thanks for your insight and comments.

It only matters if the dealership has multiple custom orders in the system when they get an allocation.

And having 2 at the same priority tie-breaks by order date, so that doesn't matter either.
Priority 11-19 means they want to be able to slip an order in before yours if they need to.

BINGO- he gets it!!!
Priority Codes are ONLY tied to a specific dealership. Being a 19 at one dealer and 10 at another have NO relationship to each other.

If your "19" and your dealer has NO other orders (10-18) and their allocation comes up with Ford your car gets built..... well ahead of Mr "10" who is "10" at his dealership but until his dealership's allocation is activated it sits while 11s, 14s, 17s, 18s etc all across the country get built first.

Most dealers order code 19 or 11 as standard practice as custom orders are indeed rare. This leaves them wiggle room if a "situation" arises and they need to put in a last minute order in front of others... Aka a much earlier order is "dropped" off the truck upon delivery, or there is a nice train derailment..a big opps needing a do over....they can rush in a Code 10 replacement Order etc... or some dude with more money then patience wants a rush custom order and willing to pay for it.....

But even a Code 10 does not get you to the head of the line with Ford...a dealership across town my receive a build allocation before your dealership and a guy sitting at Code 19 with that dealership gets his built...while your "10" waits until your dealerships allocation is activated.

And do you guys realize just how few "custom" Orders are actually made. Odds are your the only one with your dealership at any particular point in time and your making way tooo much of your being a Code 10, 15 or 19....

With over 3000 dealerships...even being #1 at a particular dealership can still result in your being #3000 in line....actually mega dealerships will get multiple allocations at once...so you can be Code 10 and still have 5000+ orders ahead of you...do the math guys...

Well shit, my dealership is pretty small - although it's a secondary branch to the main one, so maybe together they get joint-allocation? I dunno, just trying to rationalize some way that I'll get my car before October.

Hey 113, you know we're in the same boat. Just readjust yourself to October...late October. If it was scheduled today it would probably be early October. I know...it's tough! Just remember...1st world problem.

Halloween...be here before you know it and you can set your gauges to orange and your cupholders to green. :D

And I'm on the same boat... Small dealer... hoping to have a shared allocation with the bigger dealers of the same group.

You’re very welcome, wimbrow! It definitely is a longer process for overseas orders.
