Wonder what will happen with European models if deliveries only start during summer in Europe...Same production lines...can't imagine they will mix up 2015 & 2016 models depending on the area to ship to ?

They really should offer the V6 in Premium. There is no harm in doing this except alienating their customer base who prefer a NA engine to a turbo.
You hit the nail on the head with that last one -- Ford DOES want to alienate drivers who prefer NA engines to turbo, or, rather, to convert them to wanting turbos. Turbocharged engines are better on fuel economy and CO2 emissions testing than N/A engines, period. Ford is trying to wean people off of N/A engines, just like every other manufacturer.

It's already happened with European cars; after Porsche switches to all N/A (except the GT3) in a couple of years, the only European car which will ship with an N/A engine in any sort of volume is the Smart. Unless you want to consider VAG's V10 in the Hurucan and R8 to be a "volume" engine.

It's almost certain that the 5.2 litre Voodoo engine in the GT350 will be the last new naturally aspirated performance engine ever developed.

I wonder when we will see the 16' model year build/price on the Ford website and find out about any new changes, other than Sync 3 and hopefully finally, the gunmetal well color option for the PP wheels.

I was thinking around the Spring ??
fall...15 isn't even 6 months old in the beginning of spring

I don't know about Ford wanting to but they're definitely forced into pushing the turbo charged engines. Just like Ferrari - http://www.roadandtrack.com/car-culture/news/a24691/ferrari-engineers-dont-like-turbocharging/

Yep. Real world fuel econ on turbo engines sucks. Enough throttle to move you gets you into boost and then it starts gulping.
But it does great on the fuel econ tests, so thats what they have to use.

The test is the culprit, not the designers.

Hardly:headbonk:iam averaging 25.5 real word driving over 2300 miles and i get on it quite a bit.I also get moving just fine with a few psi which doesn't gulp gas,I do not drive with mpg in mind but its certainly nice to see. If you're in boost all the time of course mpg suffers same as flooring a na All the time would.Reading these same type of comments all the time is ridiculous.:paddle:

I would say YES ...

Was at my dealer February 5th and their Fleet Bulletin wall chart showed ...

Last day to order a 2015 was mid-June (think it was 06/12) and production ends sometime mid July.

I'm sure these dates are subject to change, but this is the 1st I've seen any official Ford document stating "when".

Did not state when production of 2016 MY started, but I'd guess a week or so after 2015 production ends.

Maybe i got lucky then because my car got 29.7 mpg its first 200 miles on the engine driving back from the dealer not even broke in yet.. mix of some back roads, stuck in traffic, and interstate!!! Ill take the new Turbo over N/A any day.. this is a new designed engine that differs from the older ecoboost's its new from the ground up just like the car! cant compaire to the older ecoboost's...

Also the "One Ford" strategy means common powertrains all over the world. Europeans tax heavily based on displacement, making turbocharging favorable for the purchase price.

These days most countries base road taxes on the emissions of the vehicle. Engine size or power is less of a factor.

Dammit - I'd've seriously considered Gotta Have It Green!

My son, at all of 8 years old, saw a Focus or Fiesta with Blue Candy Metallic, and said "Why don't they make that car with THIS color?"

I have to admit, it seems like it'd look pretty good on the 2015 Mustang.

Picking a color, oddly, has been one of the hardest things to do. None of them really says "This is the one" for me...

According to a somewhat reliable source I know personally there will be changes for the GT at least... *cough* more horsepower *cough* and some other things I won't say haha. Thats whats holding me back from purchasing a 2015. If it is true, remember I called it first. :D

Makes sense since the next camaro will most likely have 440+ hp from the start.

You're not going to see any *real* changes. Sync3, wheels, colors, packing changes, maybe GTPP on automatics, but that's all. For the 17-18 they'll probably go DI on the 5.0 and tweak the turbo 4 for some power gains. Unless the V6 sells amazingly well it will go away by 17 as well. The 2.7 (or 3.5) won't go in this gen Mustang, it's too close to the 5.0 in power.
