  1. Will Ford Increase HP in Response to New Camaro?

What if Chevy launches a Camaro that costs $150K?
  2. 2015 Mustang Earns Five-Star Safety Rating [Updated with Crash Test Videos]

The IIHS has not tested small overlap or roof strength. We only know moderate overlap for the coupe/conv and side impact for the convertible. Like all cars manufactured prior to 2010 the older Mustangs are not very safe. For those people I have seen post here stating that they do not care...
  3. April C&D Ecoboost tested

Most people get tired of their cars after 3-6 years and never have to worry about reduced engine life. My little 1.8T 4 cyl Audi has been chipped from 155 to 280 ft-lbs for 15 years and the engine keeps purring along. So 400 ft-lbs for a 2.3 Ecoboost with DI is not that ground breaking or scary...
  4. 2016 Mustang changes?

These days most countries base road taxes on the emissions of the vehicle. Engine size or power is less of a factor.
  5. 2015 Mustang Earns Five-Star Safety Rating [Updated with Crash Test Videos]

Right, no small overlap or rear passenger safety tests in the coupe. The two tests where Ford should have made the most significant progress compared to the 2014 model. Hopefully they will test it later this year.
  6. Whirring sound from rear wheels and what is your EB's MPG?

If you think you have a sticky brake, find a quiet zero traffic road , drive a while without touching the brakes at all. Stop by coasting to a standstill. Then quickly use an IR thermometer to check the temps of the brake discs. One of them should be higher than the others. Something like this...
  7. How many of you are coming from a BMW/Audi/Lexus, etc?

In previous posts you stated you drove a 2014 Audi TT S-Line. Did you go TT -> S3 > Mustang ? If so, what was the deal breaker on the S3? How do they compare and what are your pros/cons of the Mustang vs Audi?
  8. Brembos are superheroes

The Ford system does not auto brake for you. It flashes a warning on the windshield, beeps and prepares the brakes so you get full braking power when you do press the brake pedal.
  9. 2015 Owners-Biggest Surprises/Disappointments so far

It does have one: http://www.mustang6g.com/forums/showthread.php?p=398202#post398202 Of course it would be nicer if it was an option in the standard menus. Hopefully in 2017 Ford offers a HUD.
  10. Motor Trend Really Doesn't Like The New Mustang

"For me, this was the biggest letdown of the year. We expected so much, but we got so little. It's damn hard to make a car that's not as good or fun as the model its replacing, but Ford managed to do just that. — Scott Mortara" How was the S197 better? The only thing that is worse is rear seat...
  11. I'm a bit rusty at this, but quick photos of my Magnetic/Dark Saddle EB PP

Thank you for the high quality pictures and for pointing out that the engineering menu still exists in the 2015 model.
  12. FORD PLEASE READ - PRODUCT IMPROVEMENT

Apparently there is a hidden feature where you can pull up "the engineering menu" and enable a built-in digital speedometer. All it takes is to press and hold the left OK button when starting your car. This feature is not unique on the S550. All Mustangs since 1999 are supposed to include...
  13. My Mustang has arrived, with pictures

Classy looking car. I did not want to have another blue car and was going to go with magnetic or ruby red but your pics are so nice.
  14. anyone else debating between Magnetic and RR. here is a pic for help

I would have that car checked out. Looks like the suspension broke. :paddle:
  15. Anyone looking at an audi s3 as well?

My avg yearly total cost is running at $964. This includes tires, brakes, full synthetic oil changes, timing belts, alignments, batteries, state inspection, etc... When I exclude wear & tear items and scheduled maintenance then my repair list over 15 years adds up to $1,545: replaced ripped...
  16. Redline Recaro vs regular leather Recaro

I reviewed pictures and you are correct. Only the steering wheel does not have it. Hmm, 90% sure I will add Redline to my order then.
  17. Redline Recaro vs regular leather Recaro

More redline interior pics in this thread: http://www.mustang6g.com/forums/showthread.php?t=13670&page=3
  18. Redline Recaro vs regular leather Recaro

I wish Ford would offer red stitching throughout the interior with the Redline option. BMW, Audi, VW, even Mazda all do that already. Check out this $25K Mazda 3. Has red stitching on the steering wheel, shifter booth, handbrake and seats:
  19. Any police officers here?

With the sequencer installed and I step on my brakes, it will run both left and right tail lights for once sequential pass then remain steady on. That will probably confuse some of the genius drivers out there and increase your risk of being rear ended. I would pass on such mods regardless of...
  20. Drag Coefficient

The funny thing about sporty cars is that they always have a higher coefficient of drag due to the body shape, air dams, wider tires, spoilers, etc... Some examples: Audi S3: 0.33 BMW M235: 0.33 BMW M4: 0.34 Corvette Z06: 0.34 Audi r8: 0.35 Ferrari 458: 0.35 Camaro SS: 0.35 Challenger: 0.355...
