The dealer showed me the options list for a car I test drove. The printout included the shipping weight, which was barely 3400 lbs. This was an automatic, non PP.
My theory is that the magazines list the weight of the PP which is heavier due to added bracing and larger wheels/tires.
Well PP adds larger brakes, larger wheels, larger tires, and more bracing. I imagine that's where most of the 100 lbs comes from.
Before I got my car, I test drove a base auto. Shipping weight was listed as low 3400. I can't believe that leather weighs 100 lbs...
One of the keys to longevity of modern engines is a high operating temperature. Regular trips over 212 F will bake any water and/or fuel out of the oil.
Is there any concern that a lower temp thermostat would increase engine wear?

Why would Ford pump in fake 4 cylinder sounds? If they wanted to fake it, it would sound like a ferarri.
The system is designed to cancel out undesirable tones.
P0300 has been a plague on enthusiasts for years. Because it's not isolated to one cylinder, its usually not the common culprits: coil, plug, injector.
I see 'em when the engine is really lean. So lean it...wait for it...misfires. If it's running rough, this is probably the case. I would...
C&D makes fair points, but I think it's all cast in the shadow of the Coyote.
That said, if BMW made this car for $25k they'd be creaming themselves over it.
C'mon, here's an american car, drop-dead gorgeous, 300 hp, 30 mpg, RWD, manual trans and it starts under 25k. Oh, and it pulls .98 on...
Anybody considered swapping in the 3.73 pumpkin from the v8 performance pack?
I think many of us came from FWD and AWD and look over the rear diff as a performance mod.
I bet a 3.73 over the 3.31 or 3.55 would be a hoot.
