Maybe in plastic metric, Here's my take. SE will be lighter than the current GT. I'm thinking it can possibly be 100-125lbs in difference of that of a Z51. The SE will have a host of things mainly CCB with a bit over 500hp which is enough to take out any packaged C7 even on the strait and top end.
SRA is gone and no more skinny tires on a 600hp car. The SVT gloves are partially off.
I think the C7 will even have trouble with the M4.
Well first of all I don't want to pay for carbon brakes which would likely add $8K to the price. And even if GT350 gets within 100 lbs and 40 hp, you still have the major aero advantage the C7 maintains. So to me it better start at prices closer to the base Boss. And no the C7 won't be worried at all about the M3.

In reality I'm not sure how much these two would get cross shopped anyways. I bet most peeps already know which one they'd take. I'll take both;)

Maybe not you, but I would gladly pay $8k if the car is priced under $60k as a whole package.
Unless you are using the car strictly for high speed tracks or mile events then the aero is irrelevant since the car can overcome the weight deficiency. On the track I find that suspension. gearing and braking is a bit more crucial.
The price of a boss is $44k. You're not going to buy a GT350 anywhere near the Boss's prices specially since the 2015 PP is nearing $42k.

The C7 should be worried, throw in a little bit of elevation in the mix and and the C7 doesn't stand a chance. Looks like M4 has gone as fast 12.1 @ 119mph via magazine testing. I think that time will decrease once we see owners taking them to the track and perfecting the launch.

M4 and C7 look to be very close in a straight line.

I strongly suspect the C7 will be faster on the track due to a lower CG, lower weight, and (I suspect) larger tires. Typically the Vette has excelled on the track and the C7 has only improved in that regard. Of course the same could probably be said for the M3/M4.

The GT350 Mustang should be close to the M3/M4. I think it will be a little heavier, but the suspension should be well sorted, especially if it ends up costing a similar amount (because that means Ford will have added some high-cost items like the previously mentioned CC brakes, expensive shocks, and possibly some weight reduction).

Should be a very interesting comparison between the three (along with whatever Audi and MB (and maybe even Lexus) are offering). The Camaro may deserve to be in there as well, at least from the track standpoint. The Z/28 would certainly be an interesting point of comparison.

Sorry dawg M4 runs ring in 7:52, also C7 is lighter than M4 so I don't see how elevation mix will make heavier M4 perform better than Vette??, C7 has nothing to worry about.
