Do you find Fuelly to calculate higher or lower than the vehicle's #?
Higher. My avg trip was 11.5, Fuelly shows 12.2.
I don't trust the cars MPG.
Esp for the F150 Ecoboost. It's terribly inaccurate.

What octane are you using? Just wondering why such a big disparity between people's numbers. I get 19.4 with a manual/3.55. Granted I do a lot of highway driving but I'm usually at high speeds in the morning.

13 mpg here , mostly city driving, and i idle for 10 15 mins before i go into work everyday
Same in my '16 GT with the performance package's 3.73s. I don't drive very far, work is only maybe 8-9 miles away so I rarely get on the freeway at all. I let the car warm up for about the same, I bring the dog out with me to let her go to the bathroom once I fire up the car, so however long it takes for the dog to do her thing and then I go back inside and brush my teeth and gather up my shit and go. It goes between 12-13mpg for me.

I've got my trip 2 meter running since the moment I started driving my car home from the dealership and that is sitting right now at an average of 15.9 for the 10 months I've owned this car. But that's all the driving I've ever done, including a trip from UT out to CA and back. I stayed around 23mpg during that trip, so I feel that's a pretty damn good benchmark to use for my freeway driving. 23mpg freeway, 12-13 city. I'm not too concerned about mileage though since my daily driving habits keep me so close to home.

Higher. My avg trip was 11.5, Fuelly shows 12.2.

True, if you really want to get a true idea you start out with a full tank, hit your trip reset, then when you go fill up again you completely fill your tank up and take your total miles driven since last fill-up and divide that by the gallons you just put in to top it off again. Which is probably exactly the math that Fuelly is doing for you.

93 all the time. I do generally drive in sport mode so my rpm's are kept high.

If you're getting 30 mpg in a mustang (non ecoboost), you're driving it wrong my friend. It's a mustang not a Prius

That kind of talk is how we became a meme for crashing...

I don't drive mine like an asshole all the time, sometimes I just want to go to work or home. :ninja:

I never turn off traction control or do burn outs though :p
I just find it extremely hard to believe someone averages 30+ unless they're literally cruising 55 mph on the right lane of a freeway

Rereading op it might hint that he got 31 while resetting his counter while already cruising at high speed

So I got ~25 on a nearly non-stop drive on my maiden voyage from Denver to Abq with very high crosswinds doing 80+ (+50 a couple of times). I also do more hiway than city normally, so 20 might be achievable. City driving and lead feet will get you 10...just sayin'.

Some of you guys average crazy high and crazy low...

I personally get about 18.5 average. That's with spirited driving whenever possible, and also with half my trip stuck in traffic.
