EB's are easy to tune. They are already turbo'd. The template is all there, your just tweaking some of the tables. Taking a naturally aspirated engine with IMRC's, switching to a supercharged engine with a completely different intake manifold is far more complexed. The entire torque model is different. WOT is one of the easiest part's of a tune, it everything else that makes a tune good/bad.Lots of good info here. I kinda want the flex fuel capabilities it offers.

Just trying to help you out. Your going to deal with idle issues, surging, bucking...... If they tune with SCT, you can use the template they supply that has the TB data, if not, you will almost certainly never get it running. The reason, the TB is from a earlier model vehicle, not the new PCM and software, it takes special numbers in some tables to make it even recognize the different TPS and electric motors.

Reading about it when you put FI on atkinson timing it becomes Miller timing. Milling timing can actually be better than otto timing because of the FI.he is talking about having a car with IMRCs and eliminating them, which the 11-14 didn't have to worry about.
simply turning them off in the tune doesn't mean you tuned for their absence....at all.
the 15+ also uses atkinson cycle cam timing at part throttle and different cam phasers that work completely differently from the 11-14.

I have a 2016 GT w/PP and phase 1 roush blower and MBRP race catback w/105 miles on the odo. Car doesn't really feel fast enough to my liking and I want 650+ rwhp. The phase 2 kit looks nice, but I wouldn't mind getting a custom calibration, however I would prefer my local tuner who has tuned all my other cars with amazing results. I've also worked with cobb atr software myself. I'm wondering what the big deal if about these 2015+ and twin throttle bodies that make them hard to tune. I've even seen terry@beefcake mention that it separates the boys from the men when it comes to tuning on another forum. I'm having a hard time finding posts in regards to this. Anyone that can shed some technical light on this subject?

Sct released some TB settings which would be nearly impossible for you to figure out, it's just not like modifying a few flow tables.
Do yourself a favor, contact Lund Tuning and never look back, simply cannot go wrong if you go that route. I would tell you almost nobody else can tune these correctly without the imrc valves, trust me.

While I respect everyone's opinion to "get a lund tune". I'm not exactly asking where I should get my car tuned. I'm more in search for understanding the parameters of the throttle body control, so far the most helpful was whipple. I would have open this thread in a self tuning/data log subforum, but there is not one. Right now debating whether or not to buy the sct x4 pro racer software.
The reason Me and others will mention getting a lund tune is for the reasons you ask. Getting the info that you need / want.The reason everyone is telling you to get a Lund because these new PCM are extremely hard to calibrate, in no way can you just wing it yourself. Extremely experienced tuners are struggling.
Nobody will give you the special info you need, that's a lot of time, sweat, headaches and know how to get these running.

Actually I'm getting greedy. I think I'm just gonna order the roush phase 2 kit from terry this week. I think 730hp is plenty for a 3800lb street car and we know how a 3" catback opens it up I'm sure it will be around 750hp, but maybe I'll do a few pulls on the dyno. I feel like on the roush when I spin I sometimes hit fuel cut and I'm not tryingg to break my valvetrain. Fuel cut is under 7k on the roush calibration :\
Because they don't have enough fuel with 47lb injectors.
Don't waste your money on that, have Terry get you a Lund tune, id1000's, jms bap and. Smaller pulley and let it rip. Your gonna be a million miles ahead.

and a handheld.....I appreciate the advice, but I'm gonna go with the roush phase 2 for now. Worse case scenerio I wanna do something else later all I need are injectors and a re tune since the roush PnP bap is throttle activated.

jms bap is same $$ as well, and gives you the option for throttle activation and have less stess on the pumps
