No. There are 2 Types of Headlights. There is a Halogen Projector setup and an HID Projector Setup. I believe Base Models get the Halogen and Premium Models get the HID's. The Easiest way to spot the Difference is the Halogens have Black Trim around the Side Markers and the HID's have Silver trim around the Side Markers as well as the LED "Gills". Not sure if the "Gills" are lighted on the Halogen Equipped Cars or not. I haven't seen any pictures of them lit except on the HID Equipped cars.

I know we have seen different headlights in the test cars but I'm confused, doesnt the order guide list HID as being standard across the board?
Correct. I'm wondering if all private sales get the HIDs as the order guide states "Fleet" cars get daytime running lights, so I reckon the fleet cars will get the halogens with seperate DRLs (the HID have the 3 gill DRL)

I'm thinking those lights are for European and other non north American markets. The lights basically look like they have an extra set of lights for saying "hey let me pass you" by flashing them

Buy the car and change out the headlights later if you don't like them. I changed them out on my 2011 for a set of Raxioms.

I bet Twin Turbo is right about the halogens being for Fleet vehicles. If you remember when the Build and Price was up it listed halogens and had some discrepancies with color options such as Chestnut instead of Saddle etc.
The same differences can be seen in the 2015 Mustang Fleet Preview Guide that I posted a few days ago. Notice the DRLs are listed as a Fleet exclusive so I bet TT is right on the money about the Fleet cars getting the separated DRLs as opposed to the 3 gilled HID versions.

In the North America all Mustangs have projector style HID. You might see halogen overseas. If I remember right Australia has very strict HID design rules so most cars use halogen.
I hope this is true. It would be a big step backwards in regards to lighting equipment considering that 2013 and 14 Mustangs came with HID's standard, and that was awesome for a vehicle with a starting price in the low 20 thousands range.
The online configurator for the S550 so far is listing halogen projector lights under every Mustang I build up, even on premium models. So maybe that'll be fixed soon.
I think that Ford decided to use those on the test mules just so that they can have functioning headlights on the car while they tested other things like driving dynamics. It's already been clarified that from the Base model and higher, HIDs and DRLs come standard.

Full LED headlights and LASER light headlights are the future, thanks in part to Audi, who has lead the way in innovative headlights.
Old filament yellow tinged halogen light bulbs are so dated now. I like the HID types for the s550, but I can't wait till ford has a full LED production array headlight ready to go, hopefully in the near future.
