In the pre-2015 Mustangs, they dyno'd in the 250-260whp range. May be a little bit less in the new s550's as the IRS suspension systems sap away more power than the solid rear axles.
Would like to see these cars hit the dyno's soon so we can see what the overall difference will be.
Huh... I guess Ford calibrated the onboard mpg indicator to over estimate the fuel mileage? My '13 v6 consistently shows 1mpg lower than the hand calculated numbers I get.
There's lots of good brands around today. What was popular high quality stuff back in those days are now mostly cheap junk today. I plan on doing a JL audio system in my car next year along with a JBL MS-8 sound processor, pretty expensive but JL audio makes great products, and the JBL MS-8 is...
Good to hear! Seems like the only thing it's missing compared to the 2013/2014 premium mustangs is the leather seats, shaker stereo system and ambient lighting.
A slight power boost  The v6 has an adaptive spark knock sensory setup, if you use premium it will advance spark timing until it senses spark knock which results in slightly more power. But to make full use of premium fuel, a custom tune for 93 is a vast improvement over just using...
It's even listed under the standard features list when building one. This is awesome considering that my auto 2013 base v6 with auto trans and the tech package was about the same 25.5 grand sticker price of a 2015 base v6 auto, yet the '15 has way way more features and other goodies built in...
Doesn't matter when it still beats the pants off of 90% of other cars on the road, and compares very well even against what was considered premium performance just a decade ago.
Something I should mention. When my 2013 base v6 was at the local dealer getting an oil change, I got to test drive...
Maybe it could be in the gearing? Compact fwd cars typically have shorter gearing and running much higher rpm's on the highway. Current v6 Mustangs with 2.73 gears run less than 2k rpm's at 80mph. It seems like tall gearing is the norm for american rwd sedan or coupe vehicles.
Make that three. My '13 v6 base Mustang with 2.73 gears from the time it had 10 miles on the odo, to now 25,555 miles, has always showed the computer reading around 1mpg lower than my hand calculation.
I have a second job on the weekends currently that has me driving 95% highway, the rest is...
I hope this is true. It would be a big step backwards in regards to lighting equipment considering that 2013 and 14 Mustangs came with HID's standard, and that was awesome for a vehicle with a starting price in the low 20 thousands range.
The online configurator for the S550 so far is...
That blows. That's what I really liked about the current models, the fact that a 23 thousand dollar car has headlights you typically see on cars that cost thousands more.
