New 2015 S550 Owner

Hey everyone! Im chris. Just got into a 2015 Comp.Orange PP GT. I purchased a few weeks ago used, one owner, garage kept with get this... 7,678 miles on her! I came from a Pontiac GTO to then a 20th Anniversary VW GTI. The yearning i had for a V8 was excruciating after letting the GTO years ago and damn am i glad i found the S550 platform, im in love. With stripe is when I picked her up and while I liked the look, the previous owner really did a bad job applying it ( I wrap cars, sell digital printing equipment etc so I see it all day long and the little issues really bothered me so I pulled it. Today the roof was done with Avery Supreme Wrap High Gloss Wrap and im over the stripes already lol

So far it’s basiclaly stock. Besides the stuff I’ve done being Black front, rear and side emblems, 35% SunTek tint, Gloss black roof, MBRP H pipe into catback w/ 4” tips, matte black ball shifter, JLT3.0 catch can.

I go to the go advanced button then click the paper clip button in the options section. Then I hit the upload file and go to documents on my android phone. Keep in mind your pictures have to be pretty low resolution to upload. What I do is take pictures from far away then crop the excess on my phone so the website will accept them in the post body. Yeah there’s a lot of people here that don’t drive these much and keep them for special occasions. My buddy just sold his 2005 with $25k miles. Why bother owning it if your not gonna drive it but hey, we all roll differently.

Previous 06 GTO owner here welcoming you to the forums. When I sold my GTO in 2015, it only had ~31k miles. There are some days I miss it. Congrats on the new ride. Looks great.(minus the stripe ) :cheers:

Nice man! That’s crazy! I do also have a company vehicle to drive when it’s avaialble between me and another coworker, I just have too much excitement if a new car to not drive a few days a week when I need I’ll be putting very few miles on ( I hope) after the initial excitement shock hah

OMG I almost purchased a GTO but went for a 9-3 at the time. I have always loved them though. Anyway nice car and it looks so much better without that strip.

I picked my '15 GT PP this past December 9th. 5680 miles on it. I work from home so now it has 7K mi. Do most of my driving on the weekends.

I almost bought a comp orange but wife freaked out when I called her and told her the color. was last year and a '16 with like 6k on it. I normally don't do "loud" colors but the CO drew me.

ended up with a 15 Oxford white with 7k when I bought it. at 31k now. bought it to drive it in to the ground.

congrats! If you still have exposed paint where the old stripes were, make sure you condition the paint real well. Not sure if times have changed but I bought a used 05 with no stripes on it. a few years later I noticed a light haze of stripes down the middle of the car, than a year or two later the paint actually started to bubble and get oxidize. It gt so bad I had to get the roof re-painted and the hood also needed to be done but only had the cash to do the roof. Anyway it was pretty weird!!!

Very nice. I really like the black roof. I haven't seen that much. I have a yellow 15gt, and it also has black accents and emblems. I almost got an orange one, but I had a yellow '67 back in the day so I really wanted this new triple yellow for old times sake.
