2015 order guide options (explained)

I thought this would be a great form for the people who are going to be putting in their orders and are unsure of what each option mean ( my self included ) This form seems to have all this information scattered among all the hundreds of pages why not put it in one place.

If you guys know whats in each of theses packages feel free to add them in please.


Enhanced Security Package (what exactly is Active Anti-Theft System ):

Performance Package:

Premier trim with color accent group (what does this mean and pictures if possible of the option):
-charcoal black interior (Pic)
-color accented seats (Pic)
-Unique door trim (Pic)
-Aluminunm I/P panel (Pic)

50 year apperance package:

Reverse Park Assist ( What exactly does this include ):

Voice Activated navigation system ( How does this differ from the regular myfordtouch nav thats included in the premium cars )

The Performance Pk has is own dedicated wheels & Tyres, Eg on the 5.0 GT:

• 19" X 9"(F) 19" X 9.5" (R) High Gloss Black Aluminum Wheel

• 255/40R19 (F) 275/40R19(R) Summer Only Tires

Reverse park assist gets you sonar sensors in the rear bumper and warnings as you get too close to an object or vehicle while backing up.

MyFord Touch has never included Nav as standard on other Ford vehicles, just the touch screen interface. The Nav is usually an $800 add-on with maps on an SD card. Or you could just use the free nav on your smartphone

It would seem the 60W is ONLY available with the 100A Pkg.

Navigation: yes, my Ford Touch gives you a touchscreen to control radio, heater and the like, but does not include navigation, or maps of any kind, by default. To get that you have to order the Navigation option. Good to see that they lowered the cost from the ~2k it would have cost for our Fusion, but still the $800 is way above what you would pay for a similar capability(but not as integrated) 3rd party Navigation unit.

The "Passive" alarm system involves things like coded keys with NFC that deters auto theft without having to take any specific actions. The "Active" alarm system uses proximity sensors, motion detectors to alert on intrusion and theft and is much more advanced (detect when someone reaches inside the car, for example, aimed at more than theft of the car itself).

For the backup sensors, it helps to alert you if you are not looking at the camera. Personally, I do not feel comfortable with looking down and forward to see the backup camera when I am backing up, too old school I guess. I would not pay extra for the backup sonar though if there was a camera...
